Are you interested in making matcha, or a matcha latte at home? This step-by-step tutorial will teach you everything you need to know about making it at home the right way. I live in Japan, and have had the opportunity to attend three traditional matcha ceremonies. I have learned SO much about the meaning behind everything, and how to get the most out of my tea.. and the experience.
This is my recipe for a cinnamon matcha latte - a spicy twist, and an interesting flavor profile that just WORKS! If you, or you know anyone intimidated by the earthy flavors of matcha, I highly recommend giving this a shot. Let me know what you think, and thank you for the support!!

Matcha tea literally changed me. I used to feel dizzy, sad, tired, and I think it was from the coffee. Since I started having matcha, I became another person. I’m so happy. I wish everybody could try and see how that tea is magic. ❤️

OMG! This is the best recipe to making a Matcha Latte! I bought Matcha because I heard it was a good nutrient...thank goodness I had all the ingredients on hand..I also added a little collagen powder and turmeric to it as well...it tastes nice and smooth! Best frothing I’ve seen! Love that you’ve actually been to a Japanese tea house!! The dream. Also look into the type of cinnamon you buy. There are different “strands”. Some are comparable to regular table salt vs Himalayan sea salt for example. Some are basic while other type has the more healthy benefits you’re looking for. 👌🏽

Hello Caitlin I came across one of your YT videos and found your matcha recipe. Well, needless to say, I've always wanted to replace coffee with matcha but just couldn't make it right. I can tell the taste wasn't right. It wasn't smooth and how matcha lovers describe it to be. So, after watching your video, I got the right grade of matcha powder - ceremonial grade. Voila!!! That was it. It made the difference. I can drink it plain and enjoy the lovely taste. Thanks for sharing your matcha recipe. It's my morning ritual now and love it.

Thanks so much for the great info about matcha! I have been drinking matcha and making it at home for years, but didn't know the importance of a bamboo whisk and didn't know the water wasn't supposed to reach boiling! I'll definitely be getting a bamboo whisk and changing up my matcha routine! Thanks again - great video :)

I am also a matcha lover. Thank you for helping educate me with the different quality grades. I’m embarrassed to say that the first one I bought to make at home was culinary grade 🤭. Anyways we don’t talk much about that lol. I have ceremony grade now and I need to up my game to a bamboo whisk. My question to you is do you have a favorite brand you would buy when you lived in the US?

Thank you for the video. I have been drinking matcha on and off for year or so, but I have never tried adding cinnamon until now. Be nice if you could tell us how much tea to use, I don't have a bamboo Macha spoon to measure with. You may be in Japan but some of us are in Texas, and I don't think you should be making videos as if we all have access to ceremonial do dads!
