Learning how to make a Paloma cocktail is so easy and useful! This refreshing and zingy classic cocktail made with grapefruit, tequila, lime and a touch of sugar is perfect for a warm day, a cold night, basically whenever you want that perfect drink!

If you love grapefruit then this is the cocktail for you! So simple to make but it’s a winner every time. The flavor is very bright but not too sweet and that tequila plays a great supporting role, not overpowering the wonderful natural flavor of the fresh juices used. It’s the perfect combination of acid, alcohol and sweet. You can totally make it your own by addin a dash of bitters or whatever else strikes your fancy!Do you have a favorite tequila cocktail?

I strongly recommend to use agave syrup instead of the simple syrup. It is really the perfect match when it comes to tequila.

I've tried using agave and it sinks straight to the bottom if your building it in the glass like this version...If your shaking a paloma than it will work..

The taste difference is not that drastic. The advantage of simple syrup is that it’s neutral and won’t distract the other flavors

We use simple syrup for many things but storing and pouring was a messy issue . Used an old ketchup bottle. Life is good !!!

Sounds good. I agree with others that agave nectar works well with tequila but you have to shake... and I would put the seltzer in first so it bubbles up through the whole cocktail.

The misses and i just made one each. Came out very strong. If your using cuervo or cheaper, start with 45ml. Youll need some pretty smooth tequila to be using 60ml. But otherwise, very good.
