This was so good! You just made my year. Even a couple years later this thorough walkthrough is amazing! Thank you so much for equipping so many of us with this wonderful tutorial. Note: Astra has changed some things on their end. Like footer templates. It looks like one must purchase the Pro version to accomplish. For now, I'm defaulting to adding the included footer template to each page as they come up. If there is a better method or workaround, I'd love to hear it. Thanks again so so so much! wow dale, this is the second video of yours ive watched. Was really blown away with the first one. Really throwing out great value. (so tired of hearing that word and not seeing it) . You web guys are really starting to pick up on that. Ive been studing advertising marketing since 1992( yeah im old). Life got in the way and I had to drive a truck most of my life (started in 1980). I cant do that anymore. So now its back to this. Not much has really changed in the last twenty years as far as seo, email marketing, what now they call funnels, autoresponders, ect. Its alot easier now then it was back then....more refined systems and what not. So,.....im going to pull the trigger and apply the skills ive learned in the past as well as the new ideas ive learned so far. Your going to be my "go to" guy. You have a great video presents and I can tell you know what your doing. Im really glad I came across your videos. You going to go far. I saw the video with your sister,....did you build that site for her? Just wondering.
Absolutely FANTASTIC, a huge effort on your part and easy for an older fella like me to understand. Only one thing that would be great is if the menu was still visible when scrolling the website. Not certain if that is possible but otherwise STUNNING.
I would absolutely love a video explaining how to change your theme from for example Twentyseventeen to this theme you have in this video. And also explain how one can do this with as little downtime/offline time on the webpage as possible. I am still learning all of this so I expect there to be some period of time that it requires to tweak the settings and such to get everything to fit the new theme. Maybe I'm wrong, if so please tell me. I absolutely love your videos Dale, they are so very educational. Keep up the fantastic work!

Looks like the guys at Elementor got greedy! Sadly at 48 minutes just after downloading the contact form widget, Elementor lock you out of the system and you now need to "GO Pro" or you are left to edit the footer? I tried it twice in 2 days and it just happened again. Good job I am still learning! Otherwise Dale you are a great presenter and when I "Go Pro" I'll let you know, brilliant presentation and easy to follow.Thank you

13:50 I had to install the “Astra Starter Sites” plugin in order to get this to come up. I might be because I installed Astra and Elementor via the MultiSite method.

Hey there! I'm a bit late but i fixed that on my computer. If you're working on windows 10 then go to Settings > Ease of Access > Display > Simplify and personalise Windows. If you have those settings deactivated turn them on again and you'll be good to go.

Hi there, I already started building my website with a different theme that was recommended somewhere else and I started working with it. Now I was wondering if it´s rather difficult to swap to the astra theme with all the stuff that I already put into the other one? Or would I be able to use your template with a different theme as well? One more question: is it possible to edit for example background colours from the template you provide? Thank you so much for your tutorials. I have a question. suppose I want to design a website for school, and I want to create updated a gallery every week. It is means I will update the gallery and change photos every week at the same time I want to keep the photos of the previous event to show any time. Also, suppose I have 30 photos per event, and I want to appear in only 8 photos in the gallery. How I can show all the photos but the first appearance of the gallery will be 8 only.
Does importing an astra starter site delete the content that I already have on my site. I'm currently using another theme with a different page builder and thinking of switching to Astra with Elementor for better performance. I just want to make sure my blog posts are still there. Well, I used to use hostgator, too - but, since I had too busy traffic problem - hence I had to loose them and then later move to another now till now. Occasionally I got offer to come back. Now, what is your strongest reason for me to go back or add hostgator again? Thanks!

Hey Dale, Quick Question. I registered my domain with Namecheap before I found this video but I followed your steps and I got the email with my domain and the wp-admin url. However it keeps coming up as saying the page isnt working and saying that my domain isnt sending data. It's been longer than 24 hours and I'm not entirely sure what to do. Should I just login from the wordpress page?
