Beginner knitter here! My daughter bought me a Sentro machine for my birthday. I absolutely loved watching this beautifully produced video. Such a clever pattern and stunning finished garment 😊
Beautiful... awesome pattern.... I will be watching this video several times! I built a frame for my sentro machines, so the fabric does not become piled up under the machine. I clamp the frame to a table edge.... no obstruction underneath. I can even use weights as desired.
Frame is a great idea. We are hoping to move in the next few years and I have my fingers crossed that I’ll have a craft room in the next house. I would love to be able to secure my machine to my desk but at the moment my desk serves as my sewing, knitting and working from home space. Maybe I’ll think about a frame instead so things can hang below. Thanks for the idea and for all the views ❤️
🙀Emily, this is fantastically gorgeous. And yes, please let us know how to do that beautiful hems. I am larger so have to figure that out. The ‘calculator’ is confusing but will try to figure out which amount goes where. You have so much knowledge and talent in figuring things out. *perhaps a salad spinner while doing the additional rows for sleeves?. Your completed top is amazingly beautiful!!!❤❤❤ I will be watching this several times before I start. Thank you ❤thank you ❤ for sharing your knowledge with (me) us!!
No. Pattern writing is not really something I am interested in. I prefer making custom clothes based on measurements rather than attempting to mimic standard clothing sizes, which never fit me right. Sorry 🤷♀️
Hello, I have a 30 year old Singer knitting machine, I love it but lately I have seen a lot of things with Dentro and Addi, my question is which one should I buy, which one gives me the most options, which one has the most replacement?I live in Portugal and only buy online. If you can help I would appreciate it, thank you
Personally I think the sentro is the better machine. It has 48 needles so when doing pattern repeats and cables you can divide by 3, 4, 6, 8 etc. The addi has 46 needles which is a prime number so nothing goes into it evenly so any stitch repeats will be uneven. The addi is the bigger brand so I assume it’s better made (I’ve never seen one in person) and probably has better customer service and parts etc. but I have had my sentro for many years now and it’s working fine. There are a few reviews on RU-vid if you look for comparisons. Honestly because of the price the addi was never a choice for me. I was torn between the sentro and the prymm but I went with the sentro as it has a row counter which ironically doesn’t work 😂. So I’d say check out the prymm too, I know there are a few knock off sentro machines going around too so make sure you get an authentic one. Checking for the logo in customer pics is usually a good give away.
