How do you link up the microphone you’re using to the video you capture on the iPhone?

I use premiere pro and in Premiere select the audio and video and use 'merge clip' - Premiere will automatically sync audio from the mic to the video!

I would use a converter to convert the video to .mp4. You can find converters for free online

What editing program do you use? What free program do you recommend?

I use Premiere for editing. There are some good apps like iMovie on mac you could use, but wouldn’t recommend it for advanced stuff

@@THEUnboxing Thanks a lot for a quick reply. I have actually iphobe XR and is considering buying another video camera for filming RU-vid indoors. It seems like the XR can do pretty good job in 4k. So probably buying a Lumix lx100 for more close up (im making cooking video). What are your take on that. Would iphone XR be enough to start with?

Thank you for the tips. I am using only my iPhone XS max and iMovie to my channel videos. My latest videos are better than my older videos. I do not have fancy light settings. Just a ring light. I am always stuck with color grading in iMovie. any thought?

Maybe you can use a LUT or preset? Don't do too much color grading, because it will degrade the footage and it will look weird in my opinion.

You can always use a bedside lamp, maybe a flashlight or the light of another phone if you have one. Even easier: just film outside when the weather is good! Internal mic on the iPhone is pretty good to be honest, so wouldn't really worry about that. You can get cheap lavaliers as well if you'd want to!
