I used batting instead of paper so I did the "quilt as you go". Love your Monster! Thank you for the fun tutorial! And NOW I know why you set the threads - thanks for that bit of knowledge!!

I normally don't have the patience (nor time) to sit through a 10 min video. I kind of fast-fwd along to the part I want to see but I love this gal and sat through the entire video. She has a great down-to-earth personality! Thank you for this :)

Stop tempting me to quilt! I gave away all of my mother in laws quilt books and magazines because I want to concentrate on my other fiber endeavors. But this does look like so much fun!

I see how it works now. What a good way to do it - I like a bit of a pattern to things - putting the dark strip in the middle totally sorts that out. Love watching your videos.

Ahhh...an oldie, but a goody! This is my off day therapy. I make the heck out of some string quilts! I use old phone book pages. I've probably made 2 dozen. Use orphan blocks and ugly on the back. the family loves them.

Thanks. I'm sitting here with a bad cold and enjoying the pump-up of the demo. I've never done this kind of thing and have the idea to make a drape thing for my sewing room doorway. Looking for inspiration. Nice scarf, BTW.

Just a heads up. I use to make art dolls and I used freezer paper. It's white, one side is shiny and the other flat. You lay the shiny side down on top of the fabric and iron it. It'll stick but very easy to peel it right off. It leaves no residue.

How many people have 5 projects going because you get sick of looking at it. In the end everyone is saying it beautiful but you see all the mistakes instead of the beauty of it. Later saying WOW I did that! I'm amazing 😄💪🙏☮️

This is my Weekend project that somehow tends to extend into the week days. This IS addicting! I have several friends that travel and quilt in Motor homes. They never save their scraps because space is at a premium. Now they mail them to me and I use them up in string quilts. This is the best project for beginners working on that perfect 1/4 inch seal allowance also.

I would LOVE to get a care pkg of scraps! I'm just starting to piece simple blocks and practicing by making potholders. Someday want to try a quilt. I'm 68 years old and taking up a new hobby. So Yes! Scraps please!

I've accidentally knocked my rotary cutter off the table and when it hit my foot, the guard was too loose and flipped back, cutting my foot. So off to the E.R. I went for stitches!

You can send me a care package. When I had (which a good 15years ago). I never ever threw anything away. But due to break ups I no longer have a room of my own. But when I grow up there will be a space and start once again collecting scrapies.

This makes no sense to me. I don't sew onto paper. I sew onto fabric and then I have a backing. Back in the 60s/70s, I made a string quilt pants suit! ahaha

I don't understand why you would use paper for this. just have a template and make sure your "monster" covers it, then trim. or better yet, use a ruler as your template.

All of you quilters that have fabric at your fingertips waste way too much of it. You should be more aware of how the quilters without the attachment to a fabric supply place.
