So this is day three of me trying to build a gate. I built this in my first try on creative but when I re did it in my survival world immediately after, the bottom most torch is lit constantly and the top two pistons on the bottom stay up bc of this if you know a fix. I literally copied it exactly and it’s still acting funky

does this work on java? i built it on creative and java edition from botton torch is not lit and on the top too only in middle they are lit it's weird one it's broken

When I build this and I get to the first test of the pistons, pressing the button pushes the blocks up (I'm using deepslate bricks), but when the pistons retract the bricks don't come down. I have to press the button a second time to get the sticky pistons to pull the brick blocks back down again. I've triple-checked the details and I've definitely got everything in place correctly. What might cause that to happen? I'm using 1.20.4. Despite the issue detailed above, I continued and finished the build with the attitude that pushing the button twice to get things to completely work was better than nothing, for the time being. However, when I press the button to close the gate, only the very top row of pistons activates. The lower row of pistons above the gate does not activate. So the gate never completely closes. Again, I checked, re-checked and re-re-checked to make sure I was following the video. Help!
