You never cease to amaze me with your pattern drafting tutorials. You are such a good teacher and always with a lovely smile on your face. That beautiful red fabric is a winner and the finished garment tops most ready to wear. Another fabulous video. Thank you again for what you do. Very sincerely, J
Good morning. What a beautiful piece to add to your wardrobe. The colour reminds me of springtime tulips. So pretty. It’s a very flattering design. I love it. 😍😊🌟
WOW! This is exactly what I was looking for in a maternity project. I love your channel but had never watched this one. Until now that is! I just wonder what it looks like left open, and if I can come up with a creative/cute way to hide or knot the ties for an open look. (For versitlity's sake)
This looks so cute on you and really stylish. I know this is made with a knit, but it looks like there is some ease, but you didn't add any. What am I not understanding? Help please. I want to make this. It is an item my wardrobe could use, and I don't already have a similar pattern. I guess when I make the trial garment-- if it needs ease I can add it. But I am unsure if I missed something somewhere???
It looks like there is some ease for 3 reasons: 1) my waist is 1" smaller than my bust, so it adds easy to the waist 2) generous drop shoulder and wide sleeve creates ease at the busy/armpit area 3) they way I tied I up front is loose, so it looks like it has extra room, which it does - just because of the way it is tied AND remember that the front was cut from two parts each one of them as wide as the full back piece, so that's what gives that extra room when tied, but that is necessary when you want to wrap it around like a sweater. Also, my usual quarter bust measurement is 8.5" and I took 9, just because a bit below my waist I have a "after baby" tummy and sometimes I can get really bloated (sorry, TMI) but I wanted to make sure it is not too tight in that area. But that's it. If you want, you can also take 0.5" more. Also, watch those other 2 vids - it will help you visually to see the fit. Generally, I don't add ease to the knit garments, but that also depends on how stretchy is your fabric.
It kind of is, it is the medical paper - I have the link in my infobox. I ran out of gift wrap again, and this one I usually like to use when I work off camera - because if I use sharpies or other markers - it bleeds through so bad that it stains my matt :( but luckily this highlighter (the pink one) isn't that bad. :)
