How To Make Afforable Flexible Molds 

Never tried air dry clay for molds but regular plasticine clay works well if you wanna cast something once or just practice. Plasticine can be heated to a liquid or cooled to a brick. It holds detail surprisingly well, it’s reusable, and...it is cheap! Not a good material for repeated casting but to practice mold making (because it can be tricky) it’s a good place to start

I used green and red and its been a few months now and I kept them in a plastic bag and they are still flexible. I am surprised that they haven't dried up yet. I am not sure why brown didn't work. It was just a product I test out. I know that the yellow took a longer time to firm up a bit. Maybe you didn't wait long enough. Some of them take depending on the temp/ moisture long to dry/be flexible with out looking there shape. I would try a different color and give it a day or so to dry and see.

Hey, recently I live in the US for studying and before I arrived I already thought about what I want to buy "here" to take it home. Amazing Mold Putty was one of these things because it is so super expensive when I wanted to buy it at home. It cost 25€, that is round about $32... So I was really glad when I saw it is here much cheaper but... when I saw your video about how you use Amazing Mold Putty I was somehow disappointed... of the size... you said it would be circa 25 molds and I'm sure that I want to do more. So I just saw that you also recommend that Crayola Model Magic but you said it is only flexible up to a month? After one month it's start to crack? I'm not sure if that is a fitting alternative for me... (I'm a beginner :)) The major problems for me is to fit the things that I want to buy into my baggage and the costs... do you have some other ideas? That would help me a lot! Thank you in advance.

I've watched a video of yours about different types of clays. Just wondering, could you use Sculpey III as a mold maker, especially since it stays flexible after baking?

What material would you cast in?

Does it hold detail well for really small objects, like 3-5 cm toy cars and buses?

So the crayola mold magic would not be good for Resin? I am trying to find a cheaper alternative to making my own molds than amazing mold putty.
