Beautiful Schecter there. I just picked myself up a satin crimson red bust with sustainiac and it is another favorite of mine. I still have a lot of practice to do in order to make it sound like yours 😅 Also, this video helped me write drums for a breakdown I’m working on so double thank you for that.
When he started talking I was like "why is he using a fake accent?" Then as the video progressed and he kept using the accent I realized I had never actually heard him speak before. Mind blown.
All I'm going to say, I've searched many videos about riffing and just cool intros and stuff, and this already inspired me to make more, the ambience and underwater ones especially sound awesome!
@@truedarklander It's a similar sort of sound though, pretty sure it's called a harmonic rake, I'm still trying to get used to doing them in my playing.
@@nope110 The rake can be done even if there's no harmonics. Unlike with harmonic sweeps you can move your left hand and you get the same sound with more harmonic mess.
When I first saw this video in my recommendations, I thought it was another “anyone can do *insert metalcore playing method here* kinda video. But it was very informative and seeing the styles are given different names than I named them. I love calling the first fret string stretch a “nosedive” but idc. Very good info to the beginners wanting to learn to play my absolute favorite but almost dying genre. I only place my settings on clean when I practice improvising but normally I see a guitar, amp, pedals, and cords.... it’s time to play some metal lol
How to make amazing solos WITHOUT SHREDDING I’m not an amazing guitarist, I can play some 16th notes here and there, but not much more than that. I still want to create amazing metal solos though, can you help me out?
Honestly, brush up on solo writing (note choice for chords) cause with fewer notes you're going to have to make your notes count rather than relying on 32nd notes. Also remember the lead guitar is only one aspect of your songs, so mix up rhythm section, for example doing the first part of a solo with the rhythm in 8th notes then a second part with either 16th or 32nd notes (use double-bass and tremolo picking) will make the section seem faster even if you're not changing the speed of your soloing
No idea where the guy that was gonna make a intro meme compilation has gone but he can just add this video in it's entirety, no further editing required
1) Just gotta say I love this "how to". For other things... obvious one would be solos, but also how about chord progressions, intros, something about drums, and maybe one on mixing and the like. Just my 2 cents. 2) Maybe it was just the key/scale but the combined version at the end was really showing that Dmitry Demyanenko/Shokran influence there.
Nik you're a god I was looking for a song all night to bang my drunk head against my desk to and couldn't find anything new and I click play on this and like when you were doing the harmonics I was like literally smashing my face thank you so much ♥️
The best video on youtube atm. I was like : "please don't chose shitty scales..." *Nik uses the godlike phrygian scale* -> *I thumb up while handbanging*
