I was having alot of trouble keeping my braided buns secure with bobby pins, but that hair fork trick to anchor the braid is genius! I'll do that from now on.
Enjoyed this, thank you. Would have enjoyed it more if your hair wasn't so wonderfully long & such a glorious colour! (Jealous? Me? No no no, certainly not... 🤢)
Thank u so much I’m gonna use this as a reference for my historically accurate Elsa drawing!! Now I know what she’d look like historically when she ripped out her bun in the let it go sequence!!!! ❤
This is gorgeous. But my hair, while it is now almost to half of my back, is not thick enough for this. :( It just looks sad when I do it. Any tips on how to make it less sad?
You can Try adding fake hair to your bun, which is what I am currently doing do to severe hairloss in the past year. It might be tricky to do for the front braids but helps with the overall look :)
You might have to split up the braid on the back of your head into two in order to achieve the bun, I first made this hairstyle when my hair only reached to midback and that worked already.
Hello, thank you for the video! This is my favorite hairstyle and I’ve always wanted to do it. However, I don’t know where to find or buy such a long and massive hair fork that would hold the bun. Do you have any idea where I can find such a hair fork?
The teakwood hair forks are usually quite big, you can find them on both etsy and Amazon. Alternatively, you can recreate this look without a hair fork, only that you'll need a different method. Unfortunately can't link any videos but if you look up writings from that time they give written instructions for such hairstyle.
I found a shop on Etsy that sells hair fork and I got one from them since they are so beautiful. I also own an antique one from the Victorian era but I have no idea how to use them lol. Of course, until now. I'll be trying out this hair style soon
