This is the last quilt my mom made before cancer took her. She had made a quilt for each of her 9 grandkids when they graduated from high school. My youngest was her 9th. Thank you for sharing!

I actually started this quilt a couple of years ago. I pieced the little squares together over time, when the mood struck, and before I knew it, I was really close to having it complete. You are correct, nothing hard at all. Just something to piece while making other things. Thanks for watching! ~Deborah

How timely!!! I was drawn to a quilt that the background was bright green and I didn't know the name of the pattern! Just yesterday I went to Joann Fabric to buy the green background and I guessed at the amount by looking at the photo I took. The pattern is Arkansas Crossroads. Can't wait to start. I have lots of 2.5 in strips and I'll probably use that as the smaller square. Thanks for your help!!!

Thank you for this video. I cut 2.5” squares and other sizes out of leftover material and then sew the 2.5” squares together using the leader/ender method. That means when I finish sewing another block for another project I sew two 2.5” squares together on the end. This allows me to use a lesser amount of thread and also create extra blocks for another project, like this. So I will make this project out of 2.5” squares and the background will be 4.5” (2.5 x 2 = 5, then 5 minus 1/2” = 4.5”). Eventually will have all of the blocks created and sewn together to make this project. Love it many thanks.

This is my favorite way to use up random scraps. I have an accuquilt- so I cut my squares and then use the signature block die for the crossroads. I’ll use about 3 yards of background to make a good sized quilt. A very satisfying pattern.
