@@Brutetank There are two types of classic Monster Hunter games. There's MH1 up to FU which was super clunky and had really low-res assets, and then there is Tri up to GU which all feels more fluid because of the work Capcom put into making Tri feel fresh by making combat faster and using higher quality assets. The former feels almost unplayable because hitboxes/hurtboxes are whack, but the latter still feels good to play in despite not being as fluid as Gen 5.
@@nikopierrot gen5 is a transition between the old and new MH games because of all the flashy movement we can do. We can also visits the previous villages which can be considered as goodbye mark to the older gen.
@@WisdomAkpan211 And his character is most likely female and since it's the character in the game jumping and not Canta in real life "she" is definitely an acceptable pronoun.
I’ve never felt like diablos scream/ roar is more appropriate than this moment right here gets burst fired from the heavens and is just screaming out of confusion
Gunlance in other MH games: "I am just a slow lil lancer... crawling my way to the monster because i don't wanna unsheathe..." Gunlance in Rise: "Houston, we have liftoff..."
We've come a long way from "it would literally be quicker to go around the long way then climb this vine". Now the only obstacle that can stop us is a ceiling.
@@tetraswift oh? You carted to Yian Garuga behind the camp? Just go around this cave past the bullfango troupe and maybe even quantum tunnel through the map for optimal time if you want.
I legit didnt even notice that until I read you comment. lolol I'm dying. I named all my Palicos in World Cat, Cat 2, Cat 3... Ive picked a theme for Rise. They are all characters from the Stormlight Archives series.
Yeah, I love them so much. They even make the dreaded "Egg Delivery" Side Quests bearable! You can spam Wirebugs on the ground to speed up the return trip, and you can use them to stop your fall from a high place. Interestingly, you can actually run up vines carrying an egg FASTER than you do running on the ground with one. I also like how the game rewards you for not taking the beaten path all the time, or just using Fast Travel to get close to your target all the time - gathering Spiribirds can make the difference between a successful hunt and a failed one.
@@angelito2336 the exact quote was “there is still no jump button in rise” And there clearly is and if you wanna go even further than wire bugs allow you to “jump” high in the air And to be more of an ass you can do a double jump after hanging off a wire bug or after the initial jump
HOLY SHIT I NEED TO LEARN THIS! I have always been a hammer main since i started and recently made a vow to play GL for Rise as a way to learn it. I have been having a blast (ehe~) so far and I can't wait to do tricks like this.
After seeing this, I'm mad that I can't ride my HBG around like some harry potter flying broomstick shit. It can get wyvenfire shots too, it totally makes sense.
@@tarodeculture sometimes I wonder why they gave us the spread ammo that basically has a melee range, like why did they think we chose a long ranged weapon in the first place? the damage isn’t even good
Well I've just hit High rank and sure we are lacking a little on endgame stuff but at the same time they got this out during the Pooh flu era and we have updates in a couple of weeks with a load more to come. Has potential to be the best MH ever if they do it right.
Do you know how to tell how many cycles are left at the "farm" all the other MH games tell you how long you have before the farm request is finished by I don't see it when I talk to Rondine.
World was way more "grounded" (😎) than rise cause it didnt have flashiness to this level. Mh is slowly turning into god eater...and I'm here for it I guess🤣
I mean, Monster Hunter was always headed towards this direction since 4. Gen really cemented its foundation with styles and Rise completely embraced it with climbing and wirebugs.
MH Rise is so much fun, every weapon you can do some crazy off the walls shit with and i love it, also air mobility really makes things enjoyable for smacking a monster from above as seen in this video
Man I've been loving the gunlance changes in rise. Hardly touched the thing in world becauseitfelt too clunky, but now we can use it as a literal jet booster
