Unrelated question, but I was wondering about replacing blown interior speakers with aftermarket ones? The impedance would be different, stock ones are usually 2 ohm and aftermarket 4 ohm? Is that pretty much standard and what does that mean if I dont want to replace the head unit. Do I need to replace all the speakers at once to level match them? Do I need to replace the head unit? Thanks!

It looks great! I would have personally always used F-COB led strips instead of the standard ones you used, so you get a 100% uniform light output without the spotty dot-effects that individual leds produce... F-COB led strips put off a continous 'line' of light the entire length of the led strip, instead of individual led chips you see

Why is the box material so thick? I have been building hot rods, Pro Street cars, Drag cars/motorcycles and have always made everything light as possible. Is it possible to make a light weight box that would still sound good? I have worked with all the lightweight metals and composites available. Some of my builds you can't hear the stereo any way? thanks

Hey mark....im your fan!i learn how to make encloser from you...but you didnt show how to wire led...do the led just wire to positive and negative?that the led will light on and never close...or take positive and wire to a on/of switch? When my diy conplete i will upload my perodua myvi sound system to you and give a percent rate for me....

How deep does the laser need to engrave for the LED to catch it and 'light it up?' Also, if we cut the shape of a decal into plexi, inserted the decal, would it light similarly?

Do you do the lazer etching on the back or front of the acrylic. For it to light up the best.

@@kaamiljahmezjaanfoster5795 Try the JL AUDIO xd 400/4 or if you can get an older model jl audio 300/4 off eBay from a high rated seller you can save money and get an almost bullet proof amp.I still have them in my cars I've had over 9+ yrs.No problems

Jose Vazquez the edge would be so thin the bit will cut into the mounting surface that you just cut out.. due to the barring not able to ride that edge as it was removed
