This video should be called "How to tak a lot without saying anything" All you talked about and actually went into detail about is how your gym makes pro athletes. But the actual core of the video is just empty talk. Waste of time.

For real, this provided no help in creating a weightlifting program.

@@StoneOx He just incorporated block periodization and and just call it parabolic... As a S&C coach, it was easy to make a parallel with accumulation, intensification, realization phases with his weird New Age names for the same phases. Check out Max Aita if you are interested in incorporation of block periodization for weightlifting, but he also did a great job incorporating undulated periodization for weightlifting (more suited for 'regulars').

I’ve started taking this training more seriously and already noticed greater strength, but do you think this training will make you more aesthetic? Such as a leaner and better looking body?
@GarageStrength
@GarageStrength 4 года назад
@@ironicallypale5108 Yes, actually. You will want to incorporate some bodybuilding movements obviously, but Olympic Weightlifting is excellent for developing large shoulders, glutes, quads, and even core. Hope that helps 💪

@@ironicallypale5108 Your basically working many muscles at the same time. Time saver and makes you super strong. Go look at the cross fitters in the Olympic games, their supper fit and muscular. More than many people that do bodybuilder only workouts.

coming from powerlifting, weightlifting is such a different progression. a year in powerlifting could be an increase in the 10s of Kilos for a lift. for weightlifting 10kg is a massive gain in a year haha

I think it depends on age and where you start. I started weightlifting 6 months ago and and added 17kg to my snatch and ~30kg to CJ. Started with 60kg snatch and 70 CJ I did powerlifting for 8 months before, but I’m young, 18. I’m able to do both and progress pretty consistently month to month

Where do you get the name parabolic from? It sounds more linear in progression

hey, so I do a lot of different types of training and I have been struggling with planning all of that out. I don't want to be the best in the world in either one of these simply because I know that it is impossible, but I would still like to be the best that I can be. I do daily running, I lift weights, I do BJJ, muay Thai and MMA. And I also do a lot of other activities throughout the week like swimming and biking if I feel like it. Do you have any advice for me? Advice on how to plan out my week and stuff like that. Also how to get injured as little as possible.

Same here bro, I've been trying to research for over a year now how to figure it all out. Please let me know if you've found or find something out lol.

Buy Catalyst Athletics book 'Olympic Weightlifting', find your skill level based on your OW lifts and then start doing sample program designed for that level. Do that program until you reach new skill level.

Hi, I was looking at some books, and I know Dr. Bondarachuk wrote 3 volumes of cross training, would you recommend reading all three or just the most recent one?

About how much time does each block take?
@GarageStrength
@GarageStrength 3 года назад
Each block ranges depending on the athlete and goal. Most programs run 4 weeks, but can run up to 8 weeks
