You are the only youtube who actually explains core well. I've binged watched your videos for a week straight now and I've learned so much from you. I know I've commented on almost every video now but I'm eager to learn and my new question is could you create a tutorial on string or dependant quests? Like for example in the game I'm making I want to make it so that you have to progress the story by doing boss fights but I want to make it so that you can only continue on a certain quest once the first objective is complete.
Thank you so much. I appreciate your content. I hope to see more great videos in the future. They are extremely helpfull. Your the only youtuber that explains this type of content in a simple manner and i cant say thank you enof i really hope to see more content in the future covering your ideas in core.
Hi I have a problem I can not get it all to work, yet I have followed all the steps and since all the npc that I put anywhere on the map will try to go to the dungeon. And killing the targets doesn't do anything to the quest
I put in the dnd framework and didnt touch it, i just pushed play and it doesnt work. the UI says quest completed and I cant interact with the npc. It seems like other ppl are having the same issue. However I did copy the framework and paste it into a first person empty project, so that might be a problem, idk (edit) So i tested it out and the first person camera is the issue. Any way to fix it? (edit2) Nevermind I figured it out, all I had to do was get rid of the camera variable in the QuestDialougeNPC script and delete all of the camera.isDistanceAdjustable or something. Thanks!
Thank you very much for letting me know how you fixed it. On my account, everything worked fine and it was driving me nuts trying to guess as to what the problem is.
Great video thanks! Does it only work for the RPG framework? I’m doing an open world RPG (not using a template but building from scratch)and am having some trouble finding a good quest system for it. Thanks again!
It should be sure to use the Meta Quest System on CC instead it's the latest version. Without the framework it will require some coding to store the quest resources.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm getting "NPCAttackServer:244: stack index 2, expected string, received nil: (bad argument into 'integer(Player, string, integer)')" when I'm trying to set up the kill quests. Any thoughts?
@@GamerTitanYT Yep! I'm all set, I just didn't quite catch that the magic numbers were being defined in the NPCAttackServer, I thought they were defined elsewhere and being referenced in a way I didn't understand. I rewatched and saw that they're just re-declared locally.
@@GamerTitanYT so I had it sitting exactly where you had it, and tried in several other places, also tried deinstancing it to no avail, I also always have the quest complete message come up in edit and in play if that helps
Just to confirm you started your project with the dugeon crawler framework? I just tested it on my end and it's still working drag and drop. Are you getting any errors?
