Off topic, but I can tell you clean your kitchen, as every old school Bajan has been raised to do. And you take your time to explain, AND show. As a Yankee-Bajan, I appreciate the share of our families culture. I'm using your recipe this season to make my mother some coucou this winter.. thank you. Good bless, and keep it up!
My Nan used to make this for me as a child, brought tears to my eyes watching this I too remember my Nan constantly mixing and mixing and mixing lol, we used to have this with like a onion and pepper kind of gravy 😩🔥
I'm Jamaican and this dish is VERY unusual to me and also intriguing. I've never seen okras and cornmeal used in this way. It's very, very interesting to me.
Hello Kelly, thank you so much for this recipe. I tried it but I could taste my cornmeal grains, I beat it for a long time. Do you have any advice please ?
Hey from the UK I have two questions, could you show the longer version if possible? I remember my grandma making this but I think she did the other method and also she served it with a orange sauce. Is that something usual? Great video but they way and I'll be using the recipe (:
