I just accepted the fact that the climbing isn't the best in the game and moved on, BUT NOW, thanks to you, I will actually attempt to build better. Thank you!
It’s definitely a process of trial and error, and it can be pretty tedious, but once you manipulate the animals AI to do what you want it CAN be quite satisfying. Took me a while to figure that out.
@@alfredsupersauce I was just focused on whether the structures looked good and realistic, not bothering about the animations...but I'll be better haha
@@doctorbeakman yeah unfortunately a lot of the climbing frames you would see in real zoos just don’t work well in game. My best advice there is to turn climbing off on a bunch of the pieces so that the animals follow one specific path and don’t get mixed up trying to traverse too many pieces.
@@alfredsupersauce Yep! once they added that ability, I started doing that, also really helps FPS to turn off climbing scenery and trees and things all over the zoo.
Admittedly I haven’t built a proper binturong habitat yet, though I’ve been wanting to see if I could build something to get them to hang right over the guests.
Climbing is one of those things that’s gonna be a challenge no matter how good you are at the game. It’s a lot of trial and mostly error, but it can be done well. Just don’t get discouraged.
It's a shame that Frontier are either too lazy or have moved on already, PZ has so much more potential. All monkeys should be able to brachiate by now, older DLC's animals should be updated to new behaviors and animations as well as their textures.
Like I get that coding this stuff isn't easy, but I do wish they would spend more time updating old stuff rather than just adding new stuff each update. I feel like they spend all their energy on the DLC's while the old content feels more and more dated by their current standards. I hope they polish everything before they stop supporting the game.
now I just want to make a huge pit filled with climbing stuff and put every climbing animal in it. Maybe also put walk through habitats in it. Do we have more walkthrough habitat options than just bat yet?
If we wanna get technical about the pronunciation, the original Malagasy word isn’t pronounced fah-ssa or foo-ssa, so we’d both be wrong. I only watched Madagascar like once and I wasn’t a big fan, so I’ll stick to pronunciation under normal English rules.
