birch bark bread :) very tasty. make flour of the inner bark. you use birch tappet water for blend and birch syrup for sugar and you can mix nut flour and sprouts in the dough to make it taste even better.
Probably not as flammable as pine pitch, but for sure flammable. I made a lamp using this oil and a old mans beard wick with it and it worked pretty good. Super black smoke while using it though.
nice larry , the water was a plus not to make tar and only have oil ,, great idea..crazy it don't make good char.. can you add some wood lye from the ash and fats for some birch soap ..pine tar soap is made from fat wood,not sure about mosquitoes.. nice batch of oil ... ..bill
Very nicely done man, you got alot from that gallon can. Sweet job, it is a stain, i bet you are going to look pretty brown if you cover yourself with that oil bro. It will stain for months i hear. lol.If you need to i would use it but not if i didnt because of the dying effect bro. I just put it all over my hand we will see. lol Yep your right it is a stain, but I'd rather be stained then get eaten up by the skeeters this year. I will look funny as hell and stink to high heaven though.
Well dude if you live in the woods i wouldnt care if i was stained nor what i look like, but for a weekend i rather by insect repellent. Glad your testing this for us , so we know if it works and dont have to go thru the staining procedure, i mean testing lol . Cant wait to see how it works bro.

I hear that i've seen worse but Alaska is pretty bad on mosquitoes headed back up on the 22nd. I've watched that show those guys has sum very cool ideas I mite have to try this out thanks larry got sum rounds up the road bark come right off
Mosquitoes are so bad in Alaska they can kill a calf caribou, a million of them suck all the blood out of it...I wish I could remember the name of the documentary I watched where they show it happening
I have absolutely no doubt you are correct. They are intense, and the farther north you go the worse and more vicious they seem to be. I know they have them down south, but they must be a less vicious type?
Man that is a yield. If you want to get rid of the liquid at the bottom just take a long pipet and you can extract it that way. Or at least that's how I've been trained to do it.
That is a makeshift pippet. basically it's a eye dropper, but longer and all one piece and usually disposable. Great for jobs like that. Though they don't tend to hold much liquid.
I will be doing some testing for sure. I might even do a follow up video on it. I really want to use it on my dogs cause the natts are really leaving red marks all over their belly's. Plus I will be trying it as well. It stinks pretty bad so I need to do it on a weekend when my coworkers won't get all pissy with me. lol
@@LarryRobertsbc I hope so too. I'm considering a big batch, 55 gallon bark tank and at least a gallon paint bucket maybe bigger, I need to scale it up by weight to check I don't unersize the catch bucket.
