@seanmatthewking
@seanmatthewking 3 года назад
@@OutrageIsNow YES! I hate this. “Corn is loved all around the world. Native to North America, this vegetable is loved at thanksgiving, barbecues, and family dinners. Some serve it straight on the cob with butter. Others buy the kernels in a can.” It’s like all I need is like 1 sentence. “Boil corn for 15 minutes” or whatever. Why write all this uninteresting stuff that isn’t relevant to what’s being asked and that isn’t even news to people? Are they just trying to give room for more ads? Or is it just some sort of blogging tic baked into people from teachers demanding we write introductions for everything we ever write?
@OutrageIsNow
@OutrageIsNow 3 года назад
@@seanmatthewking I think you're right about the ads. While I was scrolling through the essay about the history of corn, I had to close out like 5 different pop up ads to make it to the actual recipe

@O1OO1O1
@O1OO1O1 4 года назад
@@liv4560 like games that show company logos, and play the intro cinematic at the start, who have a conspiracy with controller companies to get us to buy new controllers from clicking so much to skip each time? If I add a progress bar to your light switch, can I make it require a company start up screen to show before your light turns on? It's OK, you can still skip it. I'm seriousness, there's a concept called cognitive load. Look it up. Then we can have an interesting conversation, rather than a RU-vid snark battle.

Thankyou, I will try your classic structure with a few adaptions. I will use vegie stock rather than water, sesame seeds sauteed at the garlic/ginger stage instead of later addition of sesame oil, ground and soaked chia seeds in preference to corn flour, grated fruit - apple, pear or mango? - instead of sugar. Maybe also a little tumeric and black pepper at the sautee stage. All these modifications are from health considerations. 'Smart-arse' signing out now :)

I have added a written instructions on how to cook the Broccoli with Ginger & Garlic Sauce, down below : BROCCOLI WITH GINGER AND GARLIC SAUCE Ingredients: 2-3 Cup BROCCOLI, 1 Tbs MINCE GARLIC, 1 Tbs MINCE GINGER, 1 Tsp COOKING WINE, 1 ½ or 2 Tbs OF SOY SAUCE, 1 Tsp LEMON JUICE, 1 Tsp BROWN SUGAR, 1/2 Cup VEGETABLE STOCK OR WATER, 1 Tbs CORNSTARCH MIXED WITH 2-3 OZ OF COLD WATER, 1/2 Tsp SESAME OIL. 1/4 Cup CHOPPED GREEN ONION (Optional Garnish) Method: 1) First, boil about ½ inch of water in a wok. Don’t add to much water to steam broccoli. 2) Add the broccoli into the boiling water and gently stir it in the wok. 3) Cover the wok and leave the broccoli to steam for about 3 minutes. Make sure not to overcook the broccoli. 4) After the broccoli is done steaming, drain the broccoli with a sieve & make sure it’s dry as much as possible. Leave the steamed broccoli aside for now. 5) Now, we will make the sauce separately. Add 1 tsp of sesame oil on a hot wok and stir it around. 6) Next, add the minced garlic and minced ginger into the wok. Stir them well for a while. 7) Add the 1 tsp of cooking wine into the garlic & ginger paste mix 8) Then, add ½ cup of vegetable stock/water. Let the water to boil for a while stirring the mix. 9) Next, add 1 ½ tbs of Soy sauce into mixture. 10) Add about 1 tsp of brown sugar into the mix, and then add the 1 tsp of lemon juice. Mix them well. Don’t forget to taste the sauce, to make sure the sweet and sour is balanced. If needed, add some more brown sugar or soy sauce to the sauce. 11) Make sure the sauce is cooked (simmering), and then add 1 tbs of cornstarch into the sauce and stir well. Stir the sauce, until it’s thick and begins to bubble. 12) Add a drizzle or a drip of sesame oil into the sauce and keep stirring. 13) The sauce is done, immediately add in the dried steamed broccoli, and give it some toss, to make sure the broccoli are evenly coated with the sauce. 14) Let the broccoli to cook in the sauce for about half a minute or 30 seconds, and in the meantime, keep stirring the mix. 15) Finally, remove the broccoli and serve them on a hot plate with some white rice. You can garnish the broccoli with some chopped green onions.
