I live in Cleveland, OH. I've seen the Shishito peppers they sell at Wal*Mart, too expensive and not fresh at all. If you get them from the store, they're all going to be limp and sorry. I do however have 3 Shishito Pepper plants that are 1 year old and producing like crazy, started out with 4, one died. I overwintered these things during a very cold winter, keep them alive under very inexpensive grow lights in small pots after cutting them down. Brought them out in the spring gradually then upgrading to bigger containers and they're huge now. Way better than the ones you buy at the store, they're right off the plant. I'm waiting for some to go red, now that should be some flavor. The point is if I can grow these in Cleveland where it gets really cold, anybody can grow these. Other RU-vidrs said this also can't be done with a Jalapeno Plant. I did it and it worked. I'm just running some experiments with things I see on RU-vid. Growing my own different types of peppers and possibly cross breeding them is one of my favorites.

It sounds like you are having a great time growing these peppers, I wish I could do the same. Unfortunately, I have a black thumb!😣 Cooking is my jam, keeping plants alive (let alone growing and healthy) is not. Thanks for watching and commenting.
