They are not sold where she is at.. Also she is theoretically saving/making more money per hour by making them. She can work 2-3 hours to buy them or she can work for 30minutes to afford the material and spend 10-30 minutes making them which saves her at least an hour of her life to do something else. At McDonald's pay rate and buying a mcdonald's coffee... You can buy a cup of coffee for 12 minutes of work or you can make a cup of coffee yourself for 1-2 minutes of work at home. If you breakdown costs and what your time is worth you realize that sometimes doing it yourself is cheaper.

@@QargZer ok that makes no sense lets say there are 15 nails per foot (not exact could be more) also, a small room has about a 30 foot perimeter, say on average it takes 10 seconds to pound in a nail, that is 75 minutes of pounding nails not including any other cutting or modifying material. Also material, not much but wood prices have gone up, I hope there is nobody that values their own labor so little that they could make more at a minimum wage job

@@nuclearexplosion5841 mcdonald's pays you $10 or less per hour. To buy the strips will cost you around $30 or 3 hours of time.. if it takes you 75 minutes to make them plus material it's still cheaper to make it yourself compared to minimum wage job. You proved my point even with the ridiculous 10 seconds per nail time frame.
