These days there are a lot of videos online , what makes me come back to your recipes is that it is precise and to the point. ഞാനും ഇതേ കൂട്ട് തന്നെ ആണ്‌ ചപ്പാത്തി ഉണ്ടാക്കാറ്... But pvc pipe കൊണ്ടാണ് പരത്തുന്നത്... മരത്തിന്റെകൊലൂ കൊണ്ട് ശരി യാവുന്നില്ല.... അത് പോലെ ചുട്ടെടു ക്കുന്നത് അദ്യം ഒന്ന് കല്ലിൽ മേൽ പിന്നെ നേരെ stove ന്റെ മുകളിൽ വെച്ചും.. അപ്പൊ നല്ല soft ചപ്പാത്തി കിട്ടും., time ഉം ലാഭം

Mam there is no need of lukewarm water. Normal water is more than enough to make soft chapatis. Only thing is dough should knead in a loose consistency.

I used to make chappathi in lukewarm water as my mom used to do. This chappathi will remain soft even after hours. Plain water chappathi will become hard after some time.

Having stayed in Mumbai for 40 years I have never seen anybody using warm water for making the dough.Normal water is more than enough and use oil instead of ghee for mixing.Chapatis will remain soft even the next day

What you are saying is accurate to North India. However, for some reason, warm or even boiling water is used in Kerala homes.

After having lived in Kerala for a considerable amount of time , i can safely attest to the fact that a lot of Malayalees living in Kerala make chapathi with warm water.
