"nobody thinks about health while eating street food, if u do it's not good for your mental health" I literally chocked on my own saliva, this guy is so hilarious 🤣🤣
Just made the first 2 versions of this for me and my family and first off the, Korean style is a noticable difference than the classic, and secondly... WE LOVE IT!! Followed instructions step by step and it came out ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! We've been trying to find a good recipe for this instead of going out to Myongrang hotdogs stand and glad I came across your page. Thanks for the recipe and can't wait to try out some other one's!!
We have hot dogs and string cheese in the fridge... I know what I making for dinner tomorrow night for my family!!! Thank you again Aaron and Claire for an amazing cooking (and eating) lesson! You both are so awesome!
I made a cheat on the 2 hour yeasted dough one. I used 50 grams of flour (so I used 1/8 of all the ingredients, it was just enough to make one Korean corn dog, which was how many I was aiming for) I only let the dough rise for 30 minutes, because I simply didn’t have the time. I used 40 Celsius water to compensate for it a bit, to make the yeast work faster. I also let the dough sit in a warm place in the kitchen. I also kneaded the dough a bit extra. To try and develop a bit more gluten. I’m guessing I still lost a bit of gluten development and rise from the yeast, by cutting the time short. The texture probably would be even better if it had been allowed to have the full time. But I still was very happy with how it came out and tasted, especially the bread was a highlight. So good! And the sugar on the outside was surprisingly nice. The bread with the panko, made for this awesome crispy cragely outside, with a slightly sweet fluffy dough. It felt like 25% like a sweet bread pastry, and 75% like just a really delicious savoury food item. The sauces helped cut a bit of the sweetness. I’m Swedish so I haven’t had any type of corn dog ever. We don’t have them here. But we do have French hotdogs, that are hotdogs served in half a baguette with a hole in it. And this was very reminiscent of that. But both crisper and fluffier, easier to eat. A bit like mixing a French hotdog with a fried extra crispy donut that was rolled in caster sugar.
Omg! I was just craving corn dogs this week!! In Toronto there is a Korean restaurant called Chung Chun Rice Dog and they have Ramen corn dog 😍 but now I want to try and learn how to make the original and most popular ones!
"Just enjoy it, and SQUAT" had me laughing so hard! The corndogs look great, I'm definitely going to try making them at home now I don't have to go out! Thanks Aaron & Claire!
For the sausage cheese one, you should cut them into smaller pieces and then do a rotate pattern (sausage cheese sausage cheese, etc.) That way you can have sausage and cheese together
Apologies if this comes off offensive. You can hear that Aaron is not born in an English speaking country but his English is so damn good!!!! I have family members who aren’t fluent in English and now they speak perfectly and it makes me so damn proud!!!
I just love you guys, hope you are staying safe. I have made many of your recipes an you are by far the best keep the videos rolling an have a beautiful day 🙂
I have watched many Koreans do this but none showed the authentic koran corn dogs recipe. I made it and it taste just like the ones me and my siblings buy at this korean restaurant. Amazing! Thank you! Simply perfect! God bless you!
TIP: The second batter was quite similar to a 3- ingredient doughnut recipe I've watched before. It's essential if you have no yeast. You just have to replace it with milk and baking powder and it'll make the same sticky consistency. Its quality will probably not be as high as the one with the yeast but I would definitely try it with this corndog recipe❤
We ate this type of corndog in Tokyo at a Korean streetfood stand. My son still says its one of the highlights of our trip. Will definitely try this at home.
I love your clear pronuncation guys! some people on YT speak like they in some kind of competition, thank you for the recipe and mood boost, lots of hugs!
@@AaronandClaire I just made the one that is half sausage half cheese (with the first batter) and WOW!! I thought adding sugar was going to make it taste weird but I was so wrong. It tasted so good! 감사합니다.
This looks delicious!! "Nobody worries about health while eating street food" 😂 I'm dying. Aww Claire was so excited it made me excited. Lol. I LOOOOVE CHEESE TOO!
We all need to take a trip to South Korea sometime. We can all be the substitute 'Claire' for a video. With the food Aaron makes, I will gladly do the dishes.
Omg this video is just wonderful, I have always wanted to try korean corn dogs but I can not find them anywhere where I am in Australia. I can now make them, thanks to you and those look amazing 😍😍😍 that spiced bread version is wonderful haha ! Yes!
People say that non-native English speakers don't understand English humour well, but my man here is spitting out humour literally every minute. What a great find on RU-vid in these COVID days.
Do you have any single friends? I want someone who cooks corn dogs for me all day. I have 3 cats, but cats seem pretty popular in Korean right now. I'm probably subbed to 5 - 10 Korean animal channels. I don't think I'd mind moving. RU-vid has made Korea look like the best place in the world to be. ( I live in Trump America........ just pray, light incense, whatever you do)
@@grumo552 Not really sexist, like at all. His comment had nothing to do with her being female. He always cooks the food and she always washes the dishes . It was a joke about their dynamic. I didn't find it funny because of the common association dishwasher jokes have with sexism but this clearly had nothing to do with sexism or her gender at all.
StorageSlayer I have the industrial Ronald model. It is probably a little older than yours but it’s been working great for 24 years..... I haven’t needed to replace it yet! 😃
@@kathleenray1827 well I got mine used. It worked great for about a year then not so much. I have all ways wanted a mini version . You know the ones that are about 3'11". We saw one at the local Walmart now the current one started washing like it was new lol dk how that works but it did. Lmao
Well because it is fried it taste much different from the American hot dog. Also try to get some sausages that is less seasoned, those are way too salty and won’t taste like the korean ones.
Maybe try the Johnsonville mini sausages they have? Can't remember what they're exactly called but they are the size of a hot dog and a lot better. Now when I want a hot dog that's what I buy. Thry don't taste like Johnsonville brats but not hot dogs either.
I tried the Potato-Cheese ball recipie the other night and managed to make nice comfort food for my mom. Thanks for the great recipies! Il be sure to try this aswell
Aaron! I can’t believe you said “shit”! 😳 i guess you’re human. That’s exactly what I said yesterday when I tried to make mozzarella and wasted a gallon of milk.
im laying in bed recovering from foot and leg surgery and ive been binge watching your videos! keep up the good work, i can’t wait until i can stand and make this myself 😋
