Hi, Johanna! They take roughly about 15 minutes to dry at room temperature. If it’s hot in your kitchen, like if someone is cooking, they will take longer. The first ones you dip will dry quicker than the others, so normally I prepare the chocolate for the drizzle once I see the first ones dry. Just to get a head start, and the others will dry as you go. You can always make an extra one if you’re unsure, so you can use it as a tester. I don’t put them in the fridge. Hope this helps!

Hi, Laurie! I tried both when I was trying to figure out how to color chocolate. They didn’t work for me the way I was hoping. I had read somewhere to use oil based coloring, and that’s when I found candy color. It’s amazing! Some colors that require a lot of it, do alter the taste of the almond bark a bit. But the consistency is great. The gel one did change the consistency (making it hard to work with), and once I left the treats for a few hours, the color on them changed slightly. That’s why I recommend using candy color, but nothing wrong with experimenting if you already have something else available.

Yes, you can. You can individually wrap them, or keep them covered and in a cool, dry place. I usually lay them on a cookie sheet, and cover them with a sheet of wax paper after they’ve dried.
