now THIS is how you make a tutorial. i so, so appreciate how not only you explain what and how much to apply, but you also explain the "WHY" and reasonings behind the ingredients! that underrated, extra info makes things click so much better! even included tips for how to clean the pan, too! so sensible and thoughtful! thank you for this! ❤
I tried this recipe today but with half the amount, and it's the best clay I've ever had! I am gonna keep it in the fridge for now because I currently have no energy. I am still a little worried about the clay getting moldy, but hopefully it'll be fine. Thank you so much for this perfect recipe!
who would have thought.....I heard of home made "play-dough" before and its great to see this to create permanent results as it dries up - thank you!! your videos are an ongoing inspiration to be crafty and creative, easy to understand and follow
Honestly, your video just popped up on my feed - I don’t know if my phone is listening, but I was actually about to buy clay to sculpt strawberries. Well, your vid popped up, and as I already decided what clay to use I clicked on it with zero expectations. BUT WTH, this is so good!! Not only is this clay amazing, it’s the way you just answered every single question I would’ve had during the video. I’ll use YOUR clay now; thank you YT for showing me this super cool video! You are awesome btw! I’m a fan now! THANK YOU!! 😍
I just bought some molds, I planned to use with Air Dry Clay. When looking for an easy recipe, I found yours.👍👍 Thank you so much. My projects are now well on their way. ❤❤
It's really a good video. So many tips for beginners and use cheap material. I really amazed when saw a bonus tips cause I don't have a microwave. Thank you✨
THANK YOU SO MUCH...I was looking for an inedible way to create figures for my cakes and cookies...I seen something called cookie clay and immediately thought...i can make that, I'm sure😂😂😂
thank youuuuu for your video. So clear and easy. I was sending mail to a friend of mine who live in France, to buy some clay !!!! And i found your video !!! Second, thanks for the pan hahahaha yes cause i dont have microwave : i was : i have to buy one !!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can the mixture be placed in the oven? Or does that cause it to crack/warp? One thing I like about Das air dry is you can put it in an oven on low heat to make it bone dry and speed up the hardening process.
Hi 🙂 when drying this clay in the oven it swells up in a weird way, significantly distorting the sculpted shapes (even on a very low heat). I therefor stick to air drying, which is quite fast for this DIY clay compared to some of the storebought brands. Personally i find that DAS risks cracking when drying in the oven, but great to hear that you have had success with it 😁
Though I'm an illustrator and love doing crafts, I've never sculpted before. I just bought a pack of Das clay yesterday to build a new seat for my offroad remote control car. Now I'm thinking, there's plenty leftover so why don't I use it to try and make replacements for the tacky and cracking rubber parts around my camera? I know it's a bad idea to do precision work on a sensitive piece of electronics using a material I'm not even familiar with, but I can hardly resist the challenge.
Probably grab a can of spray sealant, like acrylic coating that makes things waterproof. Or even the spray you can spray on shoes to make them water proof. That would be my guess. I know this comment is super old, but if you were still wondering lol

Good morning, my grandmother would make that type of air dry clay with exact recipe you used but, during the year, small animals would eat their way in her creations. What would you recommend to avoid these little pests. Thank you, enjoyed your video.
Hi! How are you? Wow! WOW! Wow, my new friend! Cool videos you have. Interesting to see. Great job! Well done! Keep making videos and meet them on RU-vid! I like your video. Outstanding person. I like! Like! 🍏 🍎 🍐 🍊 🍋 Great job!!! Peace to you and your family!!! May God keep you! Like!
Hi!, thank's for the video, I'd like to know how does this clay compare to the flour recipe (2 1/2 cups flour,1 cup salt,1 cup water) and to cornstarch and baking soda (1 cup cornstarch, 2 cups baking soda, e1 1/2 cups cold water), I'm looking for a easy access clay to make a t-rex skull as DAS is not widely available in my country,
Hey it doesn’t catch mold after drying up right ?the sculpted stuff and please tell me I don’t need no baking oven to cook it after sculpting so it doesn’t catch mold ,I’m super concerned about that so please let me know ._.
Hi, but I made this ingredients, its inflict by water after trying, yeah after I made my art and l let it drys for some days Then after that it’s come on it some water and the shape getting very bed.
I dont know why, but i can never make this cold porcelain right. Every time, it cracks horribly when it dries, whether it has an armature or not. And it doesnt blend into itself at all.
No smell once dry 😊 smells like the pva glue when soft. The vinegar smell isnt noticable. It smells quite nice if substituting the vinegar with lemon juice.
