How to make coconut liqueur Malibu
Malibu liqueur
Ingredients
Coconut flakes - 160 g
Vodka - 0,5 L
Vanilla sugar - a pinch of it
condensed milk - 1 can
Water - 200 Ml
Cooking process
Fill up the jar with flakes and alcohol, let it infuse for 7 days at room temperature, mixing it from time to time.
Afterwards filter it through 2-4 layered cheese cloth, add condensed milk, vanilla sugar and water. Mis it well and leave it for 3-4 days in the fridge.
Eliturate it, so that the coconut fat settle down on the bottom and wallside of the jar. Leave it for another 7 days at room temperature and then repeat the elituration using the siphon pipe.
To get it ready just let it infuse 7 more days.
Homemade Malibu has rich coconut smell and taste with tender flavour of condensed milk. It goes well with cocktails and in pure form.
