My colorful hooks that I use in my short videos were made over a year ago. I haven't been able to find those exact hooks again, so for the overview I used a plain wooden one that was close.
When I made my original hooks, it was over a year ago. To show how I did them (since I get questions on every video about them) I had to use the newer plain wooden hooks, which are slightly different than the older ones.
I get the hooks usually on amzn or sometimes in the craft places. The stands were in Michaels, at least at one point. These days it's tough to find anything.
With metal hooks I paint them too. As long as you get a paint that sticks to metal (it should say that is for metal on the label) it should work just fine. Sometimes you can get a primer paint that adheres to the metal first, then you can use any kind of paint over the primer. Once the paint is on, the clear coat sticks to the paint so all is well.
The set of colorful hooks were made over a year ago. They don't make those exact wooden hooks anymore, so I used what I had in stock to demonstrate how they were originally made.
I like the wooden ones..too much work for this and handling these for long term with the chemicals on them may harm you have you read the back of those cans too many bad chemicals in them...
Once the colorful Krylon paint dry, it is unlikely to cause any issues, especially with the clear coating on top. The plain wooden hooks are also coated at the factories with a clear varnish, so the chemicals are pretty much the same.
I was confused at first too, but I’m thinking she probably showed the one in the beginning to show what it looks like before she paints it and then used one she’s already done to show the end result,so she wouldn’t have to wait for it to dry to finish the video
If you have been watching my #shorts you would know I made that pink hook over a year ago as it appears in almost every video. However due to all of the questions I get on every video, I had to use what I had available today (a slightly different wooden hook) to try and recreate the basic premise of how I made the originals.
