Watch this video to know how to export your model: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UW3rPbBHLiI.html *IMPORTANT! (Read this before asking questions!)* 1) Custom models don't work on PJ64 3.0, so you have to use a previous version. 2) Mario's model is in the plugin folder and it's called "mario base". 3) Imported models don't have textures, so you have to extract them from the model's rom using Quad64 and apply them manually. 4) You don't need to set up the import rom if you just want to export your model. 5) Select ArmatureObj before exporting your model. 6) Close Project 64 before exporting. 7) Go to Settings > Options > SUPER MARIO 64 after opening your model's rom and set the rom memory to 8mb. 8) Textures must be multiple of 8 pixels high and wide and can't be bigger than 32x64 or 64x32. 9) Don't set your output rom in the C: folder.
@@tvpac-magic6150 You can find it on the internet, just search for "project 64 download" or something like that. Then you can download any version but 3.0 and above
I know this is a bit of an old video, but i have a question. For some reason, each individual blinking texture has a different UV map, they are in completly different positions Also, even when i didn't add the blink textures, the regular face was pretty messed up in-game, even if it looked fine in Blender. Any idea of what could cause this? edit: I FIGURED IT OUT! It was the texture size.
Love it i am watching it a lit of times tho just so that i could understand it more lol, but thx for this tutorial my freind!!! Keep up the amazing work yo 👋
Custom models made with this plugin don't work on sm64ex coop unfortunately... You should use fast64 instead. It's a bit harder to learn but it's worth it
@@CM9Animation It's not that the problem is that he keeps following me all the time there in the video you can get him he doesn't follow you but I the pivot point keeps following me I'll send a video here so you can watch it so you can understand it right here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T7kN2hv3Jzc.html
@@CM9Animation Ok, another question If I want to make textures (cuz I'm creating a Pianta model), there's a specific limit or resolution? I've heard that it's necessary make textures of 64x64, is that true? Same with the image format, you're using .bmp in the video for the Goomba face, but it can be anyone like .png for example? Thanks again!
@@jhosbleek7 Textures can't be larger than 32x64 or 64x32. Also you can use png textures as well. The ones in the tutorial were from the extracted model
soo idk what happened and i followed each step of the video, my pj64 is 1.6, the rom is set to 8 mb and i set everything correctly, but my pj64 just gives me a white screen, idont know why.
i know the video is old, but i have a question: everytime i start the rom the game plays normally until Mario is supposed to jump out of the Pipe, on that frame the game crashes
It works with some of them, so you can try. The only one I'm sure it doesn't work with is sm64 last impact. I think it's because it already has custom models and behaviors in it
@@CM9AnimationDoes the export mario plugin also allows you to import more types of models? Because if so, adding a full set of Mario skins might just be possible
I'm new to blender, and it seems impossible to even get to the point where I can use this tutorial. I checked the instructions that came with the add on, and I'm struggling to even look up the simplest things. How do I enable the add on? Where is the tool tab? Where is the tool shelf?
@@CM9Animation, I tried to find the "Test Caps.z64" but i didn't find it, and also, my ROM is an .n64, no an .z64. You have to set a new rom as "export rom" and another one as "output rom". Make sure that the "export rom" is a clear sm64 rom you opened with sm64 editor 2.0.9. If you need it, there is a tutorial in the plugin folder called "Instructions".
Maybe you are using the wrong clear sm64 rom. You have to search for "Super Mario 64 (U) [!]" and download the .zip file from the first site you got. Then you have to open this rom with sm64 editor. After closing the program you can set the rom as "export rom" on blender. For the "output rom" you can create a new rom. To import Mario's model, you have to choose a new rom from your folders.
You have to open a clear SM64 rom in SM64 Editor 2.0.9 and then set it as "Export ROM" above the "Import/Export Mario" buttons by clicking on the folder icon. For the "Output ROM" option you have to click on the folder icon, choose a folder in your computer and create a new file (it must have ".z64" at the end of the name).
@@CM9Animation i figured it out but how do i find the rom i made the import rom super mario 64 u .n64 and export rom super mario 64 .z64 and out put rom is there but i dont know what to do with the putput rom
Input ROM is where you import a model from (you don't need this option if you only want to export a model). Export ROM is the ROM extended with SM64 Editor 2.0.9. Output ROM is the ROM you can play with.
