Looks good! Funny comment about the oil on the carpet. Victory riders probably don’t remember building basket case choppers and using cereal boxes as gaskets with very little money to spare from their blue collar jobs.
Good stuff...I've watched your whole basement build series and you've given me some good ideas for projects when I buy a house later this year. Keep putting out the great videos.
I would like to have Pro Jam Masters. That's my crew's name (lol you know that's real old school). Also it could be PJM depending what I would use it for.
Life of Bliss I’m currently building one of these and I am putting a Red Crown Gasoline sign on mine! Love the build and was excited to put one of these together myself!
Great video , just wondering what type of wall you put the support on ? Is it plasterboard ? Did you need special anchors or was it screwed directly into the stud ? Thanks
Kyle! Outstanding Dart board backer! This is the style of backer I want for my game room. I think the french cleat is perfect for this project and am going to use it as well. Because I have 11 year old's playing as well, I will bracket the top french cleat to prevent left to right sliding of the back board. Thank you for the video. Enjoy that dart board.
Thanks David. Yea that French cleat worked awesome for this. And man with as much as it weighs, I don't know if you'd even need to bracket it off. It really sucks into the wall and was actually fairly difficult to remove! Good luck with yours!
Did you add a board, the same thickness as the french cleat, at the bottom back so that the entire backer sits flush? The sides also appear flush, so maybe you put space boards all around the back?
Love the backdrop! Just curious did you a bottom French Cleat along with the top, or is only the top needed? Didn’t see a bottom one in the video so that’s why I’m curious.
For us very novice/drunk players, how does the dart tip stand up to the oak if something hits it? Ive had dart tips dullen or round a bit from hitting a hard surface. Would it be a better choice for a softer wood if youre a shite player?
How did you learn how to do woodworking? Did you take classes or just self experience? I would like to know because I want woodworking as my hobby but I don't really know how to get started and I know there are thousands of things to know while building something to perfection
Just a little bit of experience doing basic things and then watching others and learning. I am far from an experienced woodworker. I do some pretty basic stuff, always trying to learn and build on what I know.
Thanks. I love that saw. Very solid and stable yet easy to roll around the garage. I just threw a zero clearance insert and diablo blade on there as well, cuts like butter now.
They are 1 inch thick. Not like the standard 0.75 inch that most boards are, but that would be just fine as well. I just happened to find these oak boards on clearance and decided they would work well
@@LifeofBliss I knew I wasn't the only one who really wants to see those speakers!! I was telling my dj partner how you're using pa speakers for your home theater and he was like, "Dammmmmmmmnnn. That shit is gonna blast!" I bet it's gonna. ps: Doesn't it feel great when you get that correct balance right on the first shot? lol @ 2:29
@DJActionVasquez haha it was a great feeling! Doesn't always happen that way, but thankfully no adjustment needed... And man I am dying to get them done. We've been out of town twice during the holidays and I had to get some other house things done, as well as fix my wife's car after someone ran into it (she's ok!) and some other mechanical things with it. I am also a little glad I waited to get started though as I've been discussing the cabinet design with some others on the AVSforums. Decided to go with a little different look that what the baffles came like, and will be making the main L/R towers ported now. The front stage is going to look sick 🤘 Also still waiting on my sub. Spoke with the guy who makes them, and it "should" be here next week. Hopefully that's the case.... But there are no more projects lined up and my plans are drawn, so those are next on the list for a video! *I also didn't want to rush making them and have them not turn out as good due to that.
