If you need something lighter, or you want to re-use the polymorph for something else, just use the polymorph as a mould and paint about 7 layers of latex (Or white glue for those who are allergic to latex, but it'll take longer to dry) make sure to powder it before removing it fro the polymorph and fill the inside with cotton balls or tissue paper.

This video was really helpfull thank! I solved the weight problem by making the basic shape with aluminum paper and then covering it with polymorph. They weight less that way an also you use less polimorph.
That’s what I’ve been doing ever since - wish I’d thought of it at the time. They worked well then though as they weren’t too big. Well done for thinking of it!
This is one of the better horns tutorials I've seen. Do you know if you can still glue them to your skin if I make them very much bigger? Or will they be too heavy?
Wow this looks great, could you just paint the polymorph horns in normal acrylic paint ? Or do you have any suggestions that are cheaper than those amazing palettes. Thanks :-) x
+Donna Ward You could use regular face paints but you may want to spray them with some sort of sealant. Even hairspray just so they have some protection incase it rains.
can I use the gelatin method in replacement for the sculpting gel? or can I morph the polymorph beads into a way to make it look as if the horns are coming out of my forehead
For modelling work on figurines yes, but it would be too heavy for human feet and you’d need a lot! For ears you’re better off using sculpt gel if you’re sculpting a point to the ears. If you want something more elaborate then sculpt the ear shape from clay or plasticine and then apply thin layers of latex over the plasticine ears until it’s thick enough to hold it’s shape. Dust it down with powder on both sides and voila, you have some ears!
ShadowWatcher DemonSlayer if you want a more permanent thing you can cover your horns in acrylic medium. You can buy it with either a matte finish or a gloss finish. You can find it at your local art/craft stores or some dollar stores and super markets.

I'll be honest, I didn't weigh it, I just poured in enough to make more than I needed as you can alway re-use the block you've melted. So it won't go to waste.

Shonagh - I was working with polymorph tonight for the first time.. I have the skin illustrator palettes and obviously the 99% alcohol needed to activate them.. For some reason the color just wouldn't stick to my cooled polymorph.. Any ideas why?? Was I using too much alcohol maybe? :) thank you and I think you're wonderful xxxx
Yeah it's likely the ratio of alcohol to paint wasn't right. Try using less alcohol, or mixing the alcohol with the paint for longer so the paint is more concentrated.
