How long would a person take to make this idol if trying first time ? I want to try making this year. Also, can I use Crayola air dry clay? Any special instructions for using that clay?

Hello! 😊 I guess for a first-timer, it'll take around 4-5 hours in total. You can use air dry clay, but it won't be soluble in water so it could be difficult to do the finishing touches. But still, you are going to keep the idol even after visarjan then go for it. Usually shadu clay is used as it's eco-friendly and dissolves in water after visarjan.

Crayola air dry clay is also a type of earth clay.. it dissolves in water.. I tried Ganesha idol using crayola air dry clay.. it works same as normal clay .. I made a video on it.. please do watch..

@@453_yashvishah3 ya it will be ok..but its depend upon size...u can adjust that accordingly...and safer side if it is not sufficient u can flatten the back side cz that's not visible also.
