I love how the dehydrator dried everything without causing any discoloration. I think the potato flour really makes the difference in getting a perfect texture. Very resourceful video, Onuawaa. Mo ne adwuma pa! 👌🏾❤️

Greetings from jamaica 🇯🇲 Trelawny this is dumpling flour but our dough is boiled, fried or baked on the firewood, in canada l add a little baking powder 11/2-2tsp or 1tbps full plus nutmeg and make pancakes. If you want some protein you can add 2table spoon of chickpeas reduce cassava flour by 2table spoon ful and add 2table spoonful of sugar. Fry in little oil. Use a brush to moisten the pan prior very very little oil. Eat with any stew especially vegan stew 😋 . Or make roti. Or use it to make a delicious plantain cassva cake 🎂 or pudding You can make waffles or fried dumplings or festivals. Big up the Afro culture. One Nation under God. Our diet is endless use coconut oil or palm or our vegetable oils as much as possible. Forget about olive oil read up how it is process with lye and only the extra extra virgin is good rubbish. Go back to our great Great grandmother's cooking. Thank you so much for a wonderful video and the twist on tun cornmeal.
Oh my gosh! I love how you made your own powder AND thank you for this video. I need all the tips i can get because I'm marrying a Nigerian and anything that reminds him of home is helpful.
My dear let me tell you that you are such a joy to watch. You are not only a master chef, but certainly a woman of wisdom. God be glorified for you. I am so happy for this video. Thanks and much love to you.!!!!!
This is absolutely amazing.. That dehydrator makes a whole lot of sense... My amazing, amazing, excellent woman of Character... 🌹🌹Whenever I watch you, I feel challenged to raise the bar day in and day out... Now that's what I have been looking for in a mentor ❤️❤️❤️❤️Always
Thank you so much for this video! We have moved to a country that does not sell the fufu powered / flour and my daughter miss it! So you have empowered me to make it myself. Btw... I don’t eat meat, but your final fufu and soup dish looked so good, you had my mouth watering!😂
Nana God bless you plenty for me oo. Nana I have purchased my Presto dehydrator,it was delivered on Tuesday. I couldn't wait to make my own plantain and cassava flour for Fufu. My husband is pure kwahu man so he can't live without fufu, however I have been wondering how to make the fufu powder myself but no ideas at all so I always boil the plantain b4 making my fufu. Nana after I closed from work today, I told my nephew take me to the grocery store so I can buy plantain and cassava. Its 12:25am in Canada here and I'm peeling the plantain. I also ordered 4 extra trays making it 10trays so I can make more powder. Ah Nana, Onyankropon Nhyira wo paa. Much love😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
In Puerto Rico we make something called Mofongo which I suppose is the Caribbean version of fufu since we have Sub Saharan African ancestry. I hope you can tell me, can we dehydrate the cassava after soaking and grating to remove the toxins?
Oooo definitely trying this out, very well detailed!!! Ooo I thought u were going to give us a swallow oooo 🤪😋😋😋. Looks so inviting. Thanks for sharing Nanaaba 😍❤️❤️.
The food dehydrator is indeed time saving, back then we usually use natural sunlight to dry the plantains and cassava, which takes time to get dry properly. I love the end result of this preparation, it looks so good! Thanks for sharing with us.😍
I watched a video of these people in Africa making fufu. They just mashed the plantains and cassava raw with no powders. So why make this into a powder first?
You are a amazing cook. Im so glad you poped up on my screen that day. I subscribed that same day. I truly been missing out on some good cooking. But better late than never. This is a very educational video. Thank you.
I came here from your other video because I’m a baker and thought, “oh yeah I’ll make my own fufu from scratch. Of course!” 2 minutes in and your dehydrating potatoes and plantains. Nope nope nope. I’m gonna go meet whoever works at the African grocery stores near me 😂
Wonderful job, Cooking is all about patient which you have.Am going to buy the dry one in the market tomorrow and try it out thanks for sharing.GOD bless you
Nice great job. I never eat this food but i see them when they eat it I don't like how they eat with their hand drops hear and their specially Jelly kinds of soup (i don't know the name) Guys sorry don't get me wrong. Understand what I want to explain.
With regards to the browning of the potatoes you possibly could dip them in lemon juice before dehydration making sure not to.overpower it with the lemon flavor. I enjoy your recipes.
Thank you sis for this video really appreciate it, But can you give us tips for making kokote powder ie dry cassava powder by using a dehydrator, I live in a place where I don't have much sunshine and yet recently I have been wanting to eat kokote.
Oyiwaladon agbo...agboeeee! You are a Genius my dear,so smart. Midawasi papapaaaa.i will try this too,it saves time and you know exactly what is going into u.Pure organic fufu by Nana Aba.
Nice with Your idea ,but this is Not how they make fufu,i think u people should Show them the Original food and Stop crreating recipes that are Not the Original food, for u dont know how they suffered before they get those recipe, for u and u dont know what that food will cause to others too, Ty
Recipes evolve over time from the originators of them, ie, grandparents, uncles, aunties, etc, and then, passed down to us. During this important evolution, personalization of the said recipe/s becomes a matter of inevitability, secondary to, example, availability of ingredients, among countless other factors. This is how I’ve chosen to personalize this recipe. I stand by it and I hope you’ll also be inspired to create your own personalized version of your most cherished dishes. 🙏🏾
This is beautiful....we waste alot of food organic food in motherland Africa and I have a goal to do this when I go back home...I have been trying and so far not bad thank you for the dehydrator recommendation I have been holding back to get one as I dint know which one is good....I have the Vitamix already and it is worth it....a happy new subscriber here
Thanks for sharing, will check out the dehydrator. I reside in the UK and the summers are very hot. I dehydrate enough vegetables in the summer sun to last me till the next summer.
Yes! We get much sun here also and I actually prefer using the sun! I dehydrate a lot of ingredients during the summer! Yes to natural and free dehydration 🥰
