This is a tutorial on how to make a great looking pair of knight gauntlets out of craft foam. You just need some simple supplies like foam, paint and a clothes iron. I show you how to do it and I give you the template for the pieces. The template also includes two different hand sizes. These gauntlets look terrific and you can paint them any way you like and add some knightly details.
The Template and Tutorial are on my website here:

Cool video but.. you have a ghost. At 3:26 to the right of your hand on the iron, theres a little block on the floor that moves. (By itself!)

epicfantasy Hey Will, do you think that you could possibly make the "Moonlight Greatsword" from dark souls and dark souls 2? A beautiful sword that may be pretty fun an easy. I was thinking like copper wire for the guard and just a nice light blue for the blade.. let me know what you think.

Wow, what a great idea for gauntlets. :D I had made a shoulder plate for my ren faire costume last year out of a camping mat, and the texture was done using a heat tool and melting the edges to make it look like dragon skin. It came out really well, but it was so time consuming. I wish I would've seen this beforehand. Would've made things so much easier and cost effective. :D

Soooooooo cool - I ended up last year actually making a sci-if esque gauntlet for a vfx class, and it was so clunky and huge. I used the foam from the giant puzzle pieces you'd put in your kids room on the floor, and it made it impossible to do knuckles and fingers, so I ended up using a paper craft sort of method, but I really wish I'd thought of this! Looks a lot stronger too!

I've been cosplaying for a few years and they've always been so boring and normal. I've recently wanted to cosplay from a video game and I needed ideas to make this kind of glove and this video was perfect! I'm working on it later today with a few modifications and a slightly different paint job but I know it's going to turn out perfect! Thank you so much for this wonderful and easy idea to help me make a better cosplay.

SP Inc. My guess is that you could. If you do multiple layers and let it dry in between, you can even make it a lot more rigid and armor-like than with sealant. =)
