Hey Sarah, it's so much fun to see your process , , ,tule under expansive gown with corset styled fitting upper section with Poofy shoulders feels so magical , and on the legs and ankles it feels so light sensual and comfortable , ,in front of a decent sized mirror it invokes moments of historical fantasy and you find yourself wanting to do spin after spin in great mirror , , , Sarah I'm always sooo grateful when you make that type of wonderful dress , ,and your cosplay is awesome 😎👍👍

I'm so glad you did this! 😂it is sooo crazy sewing tulle, you can't see it, especially under the machine and your eyes start playing tricks on you!! Keeping tulle strait while sewing takes 5 of those 6 hours😂😂😂 you can't mark it or draw on it!!! I've tried many different ways to mark it, but nothing has been a hack yet!!!😢 thanks for always sharing ❤❤
Agree on the marking. I gave up and use a permanent marker.😢 but since my dots are so little by the time the tulle goes all the way around the dots are covered so it works out for me

Serious question from a novice sewer: Why not make the tulle a separate underskirt from the bodice and overskirt/top layer gown? That way you could potentially use it under more than one dress.
That is a great question! You definitely can do that, not a problem! This was a personal choice to make it all one skirt, but there are plenty of pieces I have made where the tulle petticoat is seperate!
@@officialhambly yes Sarah physical nature of tulle is difficult, , you said you had to use permanent marker , Maybe if you get a big roll of individual peelable metallic Gold Stars , they are very sticky and you could dot them along your point of sew measure , , ?? 👀👁️
I feel you. Made ballet outfits for 21 girls at a ballet school. We had 2 weeks. They had a gala coming up. Sewing all the layers is time consuming. You have to ruffle each piece l, and then see the different sizes together to create the tutu effect.
