Hi guys!!! I think most of his viewer is pinoy’s. Its a big respect for us. Trying to cook our own dishes and eating it without any hesitation. Even if his not a pilipino and he and she cant speak our own language. Ryt??? That’s a big respect. Guys please let’s return the favor on him. By sharing his videos and his youtube channel in other media platforms like facebook. Please guys thank you! 😘
I LOVE gyudon! I order it at Yoshinoya, Sukiya and Marugame often. It is cheap but so yummy. I ask to add soft-boiled eggs and I add Togarashi to make it a bit more spicy. I want to try making it too by folloing your recipe. Thanks for showing is how it is cooked. 👍
One of my favorite Japanese dish! I want to try cooking this at home, but what would be the best substitute for mirin and sake? I don't have these at the moment 😅
I'm going to try this at home.. my aunt used to live in Japan for almost more than 10 years and I've never seen her cook Japanese food because back then the availability of japanese ingredients here in the Philippines is really scarce and expensive but now there's a lot of japanese products in malls that are available. I love watching to your RU-vid channel. More subscribers.
Wow! I didnt know it was that easy to make gyudon! One of my favoraite dishes to eat specially during the cold weather! Thank you for sharing the recipe! Will surely try it !
Isn't the beef marinated prior to cooking? I'm not exactly sure but that is what was told to me when I was stationed at NAF Atsugi. Loved eating this dish every chance I got. Thank you so much for posting this video. My wife always wanted to try some of the food I ate while I was there (met her after the military) and now I can. Will be binge watching more of your videos now!
Thanks for sharing! I miss gyudon from Sukiya and Matsuya so much! As always your plating is so pro and I know from the rapid-fire thumbs up and multiple, muffled “Oishii!” From your wife that the dish was excellent!
Didn't know gyudon is so easy to make! I can't wait to try this recipe. Btw, can you recommend substitutes for sake and mirin? Those ingredients arent easilyavailable in my country unless ordered from a shopping site.
Wow, thank you....finally know how it's cook. I always cook this kind of beef but I can't find the right taste, the one I tasted when I eat out🤭☺️ thank you
Amazing! This looks almost similar to the filipino bistek however it only used onions and garlic is optional, you should try cooking it Hiro san, if you could find calamansi there its much better because its one of the things that give bistek its distinct umami. 😍
I enjoyed your Filipino dishes as well as the Japanese dishes. I love Gyudon and i order this a lot in a Japanese restaurant. I hope you will cook more Japanese dishes for us to enjoy in our home.
That looks so delicious! I'm going to try recipe tonight. Can you make Lohikeitto, Finnish salmon fish soup? It's very good. And try make Filipino Ginaatang. It's dessert soup with glutinous rice balls yum yum!
This is one of my favorite Japanese recipes! I'm excited to make it at home! I love picked ginger! Can you make videos of how to make Japanese pickled vegetables?
Hi HIro! Thanks for sharing this video! Looks amazing! Can you also make a version of Tonkatsu Curry? Like Cocoichibanya? I want to learn how to cook that. They serve it with some sort of pink pickles. So good!
I love beef gyudon, I used to have it a lot at yoshinoya in Los Angeles, but it’s hard to get where I live now. Will definitely try your recipe. Looks delicious. Do you have a chicken teriyaki recipe?
I wanna try that 🤤 btw what can I substitute for sake? It's kinda hard to look for that ingredient here in the Philippines and if you did find a store that sells them it usually costs as much as 2 weeks worth of my daily budget for groceries 😑
I miss eating authentic gyudon! I hope I can try making this soon. Also, do you know how to make butadon? I loved it when I ate it in Japan but I don't know how they cook it.
Oishisoo!! I haven't made it yet but I just thought I'd let you know that the Hondashi measurement at the bottom of the video should probably be tsp (teaspoon), not tbsp. I'm looking forward to making this next week. Arigato!
Likewise, I loved a soupy Gyudon but not oily. Yoshinoya is my go-to restaurant because the food is oishi and affordable 👍 How do you make the soft egg that you placed on top of the rice? Anyhow, I called it the Ramen egg…..Is it correct?
i really enjoy your filipino food videos but at the same time, i'm hoping that you would share more of your take on japanese food, especially the one's that you think are easier for us filipinos to make. thanks
i was thinking about this dish the other day but forgot the name of it. The only thing that i know that time was... this dish is something similar to bulgogi but still cant remember the name hahaha. And now it got recommended to me what a coincidence.
Gyudon … looks Bistek Tagalog in the Philippines … but not quite similar … Hiro try making Bistek Tagalog … tell us what makes it similar or different from Gyudon … 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙂
One of my favorite Japanese dish! I always get this in Yoshinoya. I’ve tried this at home a couple years ago, the broth or the soup is the same but I failed on the cut of beef. Mine was thicker, so I’m disappointed. It’s hard to find or ask a butcher to cut beef as thin as that. 😢
