Bro I also have similar hair to yours mine is more tangled and longer but wonder is it best to use a free form method or just crochet hook method? And my sectioning will be different because I want it in a style like tentaciom hair but just wonder then I’m afraid to do it wrong and then having a hair loss or just thinning dreads
If you want to get instant locs go for it, but a lot of people get it thinking that they're gonna look like Young Thug or Gunna dreads but the reality is thet won't because they haven't gone through the natural locking process, instead they tend to look stiff and unnatural in comparison to traditional locs. No shame to instant locs, its all up to prefrence, but i'm just trying to save anyones time if they want more natural looking dreadlocks cuz I made the same mistake. If you want traditional locs you gotta wait for em
You actually did save me some time with your comment since Young Thug is actually one of my dread influences and I did worry about having stiff dreads which I see a lot with straight hair locs. I just wanna to know how to get nice and clean looking locs with straight hair.
Yo bro, doenst the stiffness and unnatural thing go away after some time and some washes? pls help me decide which method to use, my hair is 3 type btw
@@gabrielhenrique1651 the stiffness look might or not go away it really depends on your hair. BUT it wont go away after some washes because thats literally how it got locked up. it will only go away after your hair gets long enough, and that wont be after like a year or so, which is the same time it would take if you just do it naturally. your hairtype doesn't matter with locs, any hair can lock up - so with locks your hairtype is never an issue. get starter locs and be patient bro its worth it. if you rush your locs then they aint gonna turn out they way you want em.
@@mcclary8225 thanks for the advice bro, really appreciate it Just to let you know, my hair is crazy big rn, if i pull some from the middle of my head it reaches my chin, do you think it could work? If not, cant i speed up the process a bit by not completly locking it up with the crouchet, just doing it to some point
@@daneaharrison5060 it’s not only that but it’s also for anybody that just got them u don’t want to do it so soon u want them to really lock up and mature
Are you mixed? Cause I’m Asian and I have really straight hair like not even wavy just straight straight but yours look like it’s almost curly before u did the dreads. Are those natural or permed?
