@@Uncy_Jay I got free form dreads locks and my dreads look like actual dreads now and they locked I was thinking of combing them out and starting over if I can but I really wanted them to stand up I don’t want them in my face 😂 any tips?
Awesome !👏🏾👏🏾 Your a BOSS and the reason I had courage enough to lock my own hair. Followed your video tutorial and after a few hours. Locs! Much thanks 🙏🏾
Yes! I had 46 when I did my first set. I just went through getting them all out so I can start over with smaller sections because I have SO much hair! I’m excited to see my hair with even more in! ❤
Aye man love your videos but tbh his hair is more 3a-3b and much closer to your hair type than an actual 2c like Shakira. Either way crazy job and looks amazing bro!
Locking 2c straight hair I'm sure is more challenging than type 3 curly hair and type 4 coily hair because of how slick type 2 hair is compared to type 3 hair and type 4 hair
@@couple_shots4591 type 2a thru 2c even type 3a and type 3b u can do locks just dont know how long u can keep them on since wavy hair (type2 hair) and curly hair (type3 hair) are looser patterns except 3c hair that is more coily than 3a and 3b
Hey if anyone can help this would be amazing I need some tips with dreads. I will be doing this method of crochet hooking and I won’t be washing my hair for about a half a month to month depending how mature they become since I’m not fully locking it I’m making it loose. But I was wondering do I have to keep my hair dry when I body wash and stuff or can I have them wet cause I have to take a shower everyday for wrestling. Also, if I were to wash my dreads say once every week and a half can I use head and shoulders 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner and that’s it? Plus some like leave in conditioner or what? I’m really new to this but I would love to get a set of dreads so any tips will help
I've been growing my hair for a few years finally wanna dread it but my scalp gets completely dry in a matter of days and I was told you can't wash it until the dreads lock , is there a way to instantly lock the dreads ? If you have any solution please respond because my girl tired of braiding my hair 😆
Hey Gunther, How long do you think it will take to freeform my roots? I am about 4 weeks into my dread journey and I got them done with a crochet needle, although I have a 3A hair type so i’m not very sure how long it takes. My dreads right now lay down, but I want them to stand up sort of and stick out, any tips or ideas on how I can help the process or speed it up? Thanks Homie🤟🏽
I got some locs that are skinny but they don't want to stay loced everytime I crochet the bottom, the top gets loose n everytime I crochet the top, the bottom gets loose, the skinny locs also keep coming loose after showering no matter how long I crochet them they dont seem to get loced
Im 2 years in and messed up on half of my head trying to crochet cus the needle broke, i let the short side grow out and its a little more than halfway the length of the good side, but im struggling to get my hair to loc every time i get two strand twists it’ll stay in that form but when i take them out it just turns into little curl sticks that wont loc
I struggle with tightening my other half's roots. He'll let me do the ends but he says I hurt if I do the roots. Not quite sure what I'm doing wrong or if he's just being a big baby lol.
So recently i decided to start my locs again, i had locs before that i started with the sponge this time im starting them with the crotchet needle only problem i have is that sometimes they look stiff and i wanna know how i can make em hang and look more natural
Bro I don’t understand if I had your hair I would just done it naturally, I feel like as a straight hair person the crochet hook is really helpful because straight hair locks way harder than if you have curly so why start using crochet needle on curly hair ?
@@lilmanq7746 ehh its mostly due to laziness and me having a low budget when it comes to hair maintenance. I didn’t want to go through the vigorous process of retwisting my hair and sleeping with a protective cap for months. I have a 3A- B which means my hair has loose curls making it harder for me to dread my hair… well not harder its just my twist barley holds and unravels a lot when I shower. Crotchet was just a faster alternative thats why.
try using lemon grass oil and adding like 8 drops total into your palm with your shampoo and rub it around your whole head. If u can leave it in for like 1 min or 30 secs then wash it out as normal. I use it like once a week and u can really feel your scalp afterwards
