There are many possibilitirs but I think becoming a Master at a few things is better than having a broad knowledge base that is too much informnation to master. I saw a Judo video 22 years ago the 65 throws of Kodokan Judo. Then as a Judo black belt you need to learn the 40 throws of Kodokan Judo and pins, strangles, armlocks. Then there is the 1950s self defense kata vs stick, knife, pistol if you want to learn that stuff. Mostly Judo is a sport. So the Judo coach tells you LEARN 5 THROWS that YOU are an EXPERT in. Bruce Lee said A man who has practiced 1 kick 1000 times is more dangerous than a man who has practiced 1000 kicks 1 time. I competed in boxing, kickboxing, Judo. Trained in BJJ. But I finally learned how to win a street fight and the tactical skills and BRUTALITY that MUST be applied IF you hope to win. Getting little to no injuries is WINNING.
