Thank goodness I watched this, I bought everything including groundnut to make this drink. If not for this video I would have added groundnut to my kunu aya😂🙈thanks for this 🙏
My own challenges in this business is recently i started having soared kunu Aya and some customer do compare mine to the other woman own that her own is thicker So i want to ask how thick can kunu Aya be , further more how many bottles can 1paint of Aya give using 33cl bottle
So I need you to understand that people will always compare that is why you need to be confident in the quality you produce so when they try to make you feel bad about your product you already know your quality it will not be painful. Secondly to make it thick I feel not using too much water to dilute the milk gotten after grinding it will make it thick enough although it means you will not get large quantity out of it. I don’t know the measurements range for 33cl bottles
Hello, thank you for the video I actually watched a particular video where someone added bananas to the tiger nut before blending Do you suggest I use that?? According to her, it makes it sweet and gives a natural flavor alongside the coconut
Hi thank you for watching so it is pretty easy the fresh one is golden brown/ yellow in colour then the brown is dark brown and most people sell both so just ask them when you want to buy
wow,I will try it out. thanks alot. can I use okpa cotton to sieve the kunu drink to remove chaff? or is there seperate cotton for seiving kunu drink thank you
If you stay in Abuja you can check out garki market, gosa market, maraba orange market those are the ones I have patronized so far. I am glad I could help ❤️
Good evening dear sis, thanks for this piece.i just want to tell you my experience I always have when I always do my tiger nut, it's always going sour each time I do it.i always think it's because of soaking for days.but the last one I did ,I soaked very early in the morning and blended that same day but I noticed that I couldn't sieve and parkage that same day but very early the second day but it's has already gone sour . this really a waste as i can't sell but have to drink the whole of at home with my children.pls what advice would you give me
If you buy the fresh one there is no need to soak it for days. If it is the dry one then yes you need to soak it for a day or two to make it soft enough for blending. Kunu aya of highly perishable so but that does not mean it can last for two days so long as it is in the refrigerator. I advise you don't make it in large quantity, don't make it one day and package to refrigerate the next day it has to be immediately if not it would get sour. Lastly, try using cold water to mix it as against ordinary water.
I use cold water because the drink is highly perishable so instead of facilitating the easy spoilage cold water already gives it a good enough temperature for the time and mudu is a measuring rubber used to measure when you want to buy something like tiger nut
I sell zobo 50cl for 400 naira while tigernut is 600 naira. It depends on how much you bought your ingredients just work on your pricing in away you make profit no matter how small
Honestly this video was about 2-3years ago the prices must have increased due to the economic inflation rate so if I give you the old price I don’t think it would work now
pls my question is I have clove, how do I use it and how many days did you soak aya and do you have to be washing off the water every morning?,thank you for the teaching
You just rinse and blend the cloves with the aya when you want to grind. I soaked it for 3 days you can soak it for more if you want or if you are using home blender to make sure it is soft enough. Yes it is advisable to wash it every morning so you can see if it is soaked enough but you can also wash just when you are ready to grind. Thank you for watching
I'm here for research purposes and what you are making is original version of horchata this is awesome it just shows that Nigeria was a heavy part of trade to Spain and into Europe
Left at a room temperature of 25°C, coconut turns sour, as various oxidative and fermentative reactions occur. To make it last longer, dont use coconut in the drink.
Honestly, I don't have a particular seller so I don't have any contact to share I just go to the market compare prices and buy the last mudu I bought was like 800 naira
I mistakenly soaked the date on day one before seeing your video then I removed it and put in the fridge can I still make use it on the third day after soaking the tiger nut
For me nothing I don’t think tiger nut drink has a thickener what I can suggest and I know it works is avoid adding a lot of water it helps it remain thick too much water would reduce the sweetness and make it watery
Welldone! So after sieving it, there's no need to boil on fire before consuming? And pls can you give a tutorial on how to start a RU-vid and also the editing part. Thank you
KUNU AYA does not need boiling it actually hates heat so no need to boil do your best to keep it cold till it is consumed till the end. So it doesn’t get spoilt. Secondly, this drink doesn’t stay for long within a day or 2 it gets spoilt
Thank you for this video. So I kind of stumbled on the fermented version. My friend had stored hers in the freezer for a while and gave it out to me to go grind and make my tiger nut drink and when i was done and tasted it, it was fermented but not spoilt. Now am looking for how to make the fermented version. How do I go about the fermented version?
Hi thank you very much for watching so measurements depends on the amount you are trying to do for this particular one I did half mudu of tiger nut, half mudu of delbino, 2 coconut and cold water
Well it is optional it just gives it flavour and it can also serve as a preservative in addition to that ginger has it own health benefits but if you are making for someone allergic to ginger or has ulcer I suggest you leave it out it would still taste nice without it.
I made tigernut and 2 people complained that it taste like kunu zaki I had to taste when my sister said the same thing and it was true. What could be the cause?
Oo wow I am not sure I know what could have caused it it is not suppose to taste like KUNU zaki but did you add millet or corn to the tiger nut you used?
Once you click on the video and click on the title the description box is just below it it shows you other information about the video and the channel in general
Honestly there is no special preservative for this drink just ginger and even with that it can spoil it has a very short life span so the best preservative for KUNU AYA is to refrigerate it immediately after making it in the freezer/fridge it has a 2-3days life span as compare to just 24hours outside the fridge. Thick and separation might not necessarily mean spoilage if it happened inside the freezer you could just shake it and taste it if it is still good to consume.
Something happened when I make this Tiger nut myself the following day the Tiger nut drinks turns to something else Something like paml wine that we shouldn't drink it anymore Pls ma I wanted to know what really happened
Well I have never experienced this but I know it gets spoilt fast but not as fast as the second day if you refrigerated it day two should still be good
Well it really depends on how you want it to be or look it was thick enough but maybe the video didn’t do justice. You can add more leaves to boil if you want yours thicker
A mudu of tiger but cost about N800 as at time I bought this one and date was about N100 although these prices are not constant you can get it cheaper or more expensive
Thank you for the suggestion. Next time you should know there are better ways to pass a message than resulting to insult either ways I pray God heals your soul. Have a nice day.
