Recommendations from a Louisianian: add salt to the butter and milk. beat the eggs before adding to recipe. Dough should be more wet than dry. Use a pizza cutter to separate the dough, fill and roll two logs then braid them together and connect both ends making a circle, pinch the ends together. I personally don’t use food coloring in my icing. I do white with the colored sugar crystal sprinkles.

This Ala girl in Central South loves to cook. I love gathering ideas from you too! I am a crafter and make all kinds of wreaths, I love cooking New Orleans food all year round & WhoDat- I follow DecoExchange and one of their artists said that there is no messing up anything for Mardi Gras- the season is meant to be Over the Top in everything! Your KC looks devine and delish! I will be making mine this weekend since I have to sell insurance as a job lol!
