This video will probably get a LOT of thumbs downs because people want an EASY fix... They want the magic pill to success... But no such thing exists. Some people don't want to put in the work but TRUST ME... It's worth it!! We used to work full-time and be in school full-time and now: TEAMMBL, making music, and hanging with you guys is all we do everyday! If you pay attention to what we say in this video... If you are willing to be patient and invest the time required to make yourself/your music/and your brand better everyday... Eventually, all the right people will come banging on your door begging to work with you and the opportunities will be endless! It's All About Teamwork 🙏❤️
It was very helpful! Thanks for this lukas! But I do have one question how do I start up an Artist Spotify profile? I don't have one yet because I don't know how to set it up etc.
Hey Sabrina! Watch our last video about how to contact DJs because I put the link to get on Spotify and that company also helps verify your account too 🙌😊❤️
Once you have a song, use a distribution service and put the track on Spotify! If its the first song you've put on Spotify, the distributionors will create a profile on Spotify with the track! To take control of the account, edit the page etc, go to Spotify for Artists and claim your profile by searching it, clicking your profile, and then the account will become an Artist and you get all the analytics and can change the profile picture and stuff, to get more songs on your profile just keep distributing, and i don't think it matters if you switch distributors since theres an account with your name now, you can go to Spotify's help, And dang didn't realise how long this comment looked xD
damn... that's so relatable. i made separate accounts on social media to promote my music and stuff just because i didn't want to look stupid among my friends who don't have much knowledge about music production and are always like 'wtf are u doing with ur life! '
I read yesterday that Foxes had no idea who Zedd was when he hit her to sing on Clarity so she wikipedied him and found out he made tracks with Lady Gaga and she was like "oh he must be good then" and accepted to give him a chance. Resume is soooo important. Even if you have dope tracks released solo, if you have the same tracks released as collabs with producers or singers that people know it makes the track look 1000x bigger and people will be more intended to click on it and listen
TheOneAndOnly you make them but not release them ahah. Our first ever Wanden track was a collab with Kevu I just hit them on Facebook to show them our ID they had no idea who we were. They digged the vocals and said yes. Its all in how you go see people with confidence
I started producing January 2016 and started DJing January 2017. This video is absolutely right: you have to invest in your brand as much as your situation will allow, but I’d recommend only aggressively marketing yourself after you get that base layer of production competency down. I’d say I’m between an intermediate and expert level now, so this past 3 months I’ve been really focusing on building my social media presence, developed a website, and started consistently publishing content to RU-vid. Both my Instagram and RU-vid audiences doubled in the last 2-3 months as a result and at my last major show last Sunday I had 3 people introduce themselves to me and say they knew of me from my instagram. I also converted those 3 people to customers of my merchandise (which I make a good profit on). Don’t be lazy about your brand - put yourself in a position to get new opportunities.
Yes.. Love it I almost dropped college but I now understand all these small things By watching your videos ❤️❤️ thank you Guys I learnt something today... I thought I'll be making money right away but it's opposite of what I think ☹️😊
Definitely great advice guys! Everyone seems to only focus on the end goal instead of the here and now, myself included, and the here and now is how you get to your end goal. 🎶🙌
This is the best video I watched, it really help me with some things I was stuck on. I don't really know how you know all this things but you guys should write a book, definitely.
Damnnn your videos really help a lot. You definitely convinced me to join the online music school. I'll do it when summer comes bc I'll have more time to work on music and probably more money saved up.
You guys are right, I just signed my first official release after 4 years of hard work and I'm so gratefull for that, I always dreamt it and now it came true!
i understand it lukas....slow and steady growth is better than fast and fluctuating growth. On the other hand its really very hard to make steady growth
Wow another awesome tips again from you guys really inspiring and most of all the video is what every producer like me really needed...patience is the greatest thing and can only be achieved when your really into what you do.. WHOLE HEARTEDLY .....thanks again for another amazing video from you guys
Hey guys. I’m Marcus and I have a dream to be a music producer. But now I’m still a student and I’m finding it really hard to work towards my dream. By watching your videos like these actually really helps me a lot so I would like to say thank you!
Yeah, I'll try like you guys said but they'll be pretty hard for me. I wanna be a DJ but my mom and my relatives don't agree with me. But my dad says "If you wanna be a DJ go and try yourself and don't ask any support or money." But I won't give up. I still believe in what I believe.
In music production even if u start to make big money,You will forget on that. You will just continue with work and dont look how much u have. You will just live normal and use it in normal need. U will party hard and make music and will be busy a lot to think how much u got or how much u have.
In Germany The Gema ist giving Money to artists when their Tracks are played...thats much Money for The artists and also for The Labels like Kontor Records ⬅😂
You guys have said almost everything that bothers me everyday in becoming a DJ/producer.Great advice and thumbs up to you guys. But I have to ask what about those people who wanna get into music but they don't have the basic equipments let's say a mic or maybe some cash to purchase software for production.
thx guys i was just thinking of that I'm managing all m social accounts and all but no increase in followers and view in youtube but you gave a good idea of keeping patience thank-you guys love ya. Rex SLRJ
I don't care about being famous or making a lot of money (although it would be nice). I just wanna be able to release a few tracks on local labels. Just to say I did it. Anything after that is gravy.
Lukas have more faith in your audience. I am giving you a thumbs up and I work a day job to save up to purchase my own DJ equipment. You're sending a good message, but please believe, we know that things are real, so we come to watch your content to improve. Anyways, good video.
