We all want to make more money, but if possible we also prefer to do it without putting in too much effort.
In this video I want to share a way to make more of it without over-investing time and energy.
This is the best way to about generate wealth for most people in my opinion.
And it's quite simple...

Good advice. I think you're overemphasizing business -- it depends what you want to do, and skills like communication, research and writing are even more universal, but yes, stacking is the way. I got a physics degree, but even with that my earning potential was limited since it's very specialist. However add in a Masters in Education (one year course), and my writing and teaching skills, and now as a specialist science education writer I make a significant amount of money. Writers are poorly paid, low level scientists are poorly paid, teachers are poorly paid. But put those skills together and I'm in demand.
@cali-pranks
@cali-pranks 2 года назад
I think this is great advice. I worked as a teacher for a while and developed a lot of great skills (some of which came from moonlighting for the union in leadership and advocacy). When I added a master’s in applied behavior analysis (16 months), I immediately got a 20k pay bump the following school year and work about the same hours/day a year. In another year or two, I can possibly see an extra 15k bump, and this is doing government work. If I developed some business skills or tech skills on top of this, I could probably find an even bigger increase in salary in the private sector.
@RacksonRacksonRibss
@RacksonRacksonRibss Год назад
I disagree that he’s overemphasizing business/finance/accounting. Part of the point of this vid is he’s explaining how to eventually become ‘freelance’ and or own your own business. And knowing these business principles is essential for branching off and doing things on your own (and doing them well). I work with business owners every day and find that it’s generally the ones who understand business (and no, not just personal budgeting - I mean business/commercial finance/accounting and can understand their own books, etc.) that are able to excel far above the rest.
@hectorguzman28

@@RacksonRacksonRibss you're right. The system don't want people to know business and finance in high school why? Because they need employees, not business owners.

For me, after many years of working across numerous domains, mostly being self-employed, a real challenge is to properly understand and then articulate your value proposition. Certainly the placement agencies have great difficulty positioning you in my experience, so that can be problematic. Another issue is that those with multiple capabilities are more likely to want to engage them all, or at least some of them, making working to a conventional job description less desirable. Great video but with caveats, at least in my experience. Cheers from Sydney - Dave

It was a really unique topic and I definitely agree with it. An excellent example of talent stacking would be pure sciences and computer science. Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Computer Science are very competitive fields. But if we combine them, also known as computational sciences, there is much less competition and more value to your services.

Thank you! This is so helpful. Im only 56 and I got Parkinsons about 4 years ago. I also had major problems with my spine that required 3 surgeries in the past few years, so I'm officially disabled. I've been trying to work out what I can do now given my current limitations. Working a regular job with specific time and productivity expectations is out of the question. Your videos are really helping me reorder my life. Everything must be extremely consistent now or I suffer: what, how much, and when to eat; sleep and nap times and duration, taking medicine on time; when, how much, and what kind of excercise each day; mental and vocal exercise; and fine motor practice. Mix all that with PT and doctor appointments. Again thanks! Oh, I use Spanish study, cello practice, singing, crosstitch, and gaming on the computer to accomplish all but the exercise, for which i go to the gym and also walk. Im hoping to add advanced math review so I can possibly get back into test prep tutoring.

I'm in a stasis currently due to multiple problems, and my head is in a chaotic mess. A lot of people say I have too many talents but I still haven't find my business model to get a good enough return. I can speak 3 languages fluently, can do a bit video editing, is a decent writer, quite good at speech, has great summery skills, has over 10 years of first hand depression experience, etc. I just can't find a way to monetize it. If anything I don't even know how I can combine my over abundance of skills.
@nightwalker592yearsold

You're demotivating me lol. I have an idea: you have the skills, but no business model. So, you should develop yourself in such as promotion, advertising and marketing. This will help more people to get to know you. You should also give up waiting for the perfect job where you can use all of your skills. You can start earning money by using even just one of your skills. There are many people who need someone skilled with languages, and there are also people looking for video editors and writers. But they don't know you, so you need to introduce yourself. You should fail many times and get up again more experience I don't speak English as well as you do. I apologize if there is any mistake in what I wrote

Fantastic video! - I’d never thought of it like that. “Talent stacking” in a way is similar to “habit stacking”… think James Clear has written books on it. Also with talent stacking in mind, there is a good Ted Talk on RU-vid that discusses how we can all get good at a skill in 20 hours. So now I’m thinking… just what could I accomplish in 100 hours focussed learning, becoming able at 5 new skills! So thanks again for your video - has been a lightbulb moment for me. 👍

Agree 100%. I have a buddy who was a triple major in university (physics, economics, and math). Very bright. - Oh, he had an audio engineering associates degree from a different school as well. Anyway.. Now, you would think those are actually three pretty compatible bachelors degrees that would ‘stack’ well. Turns out he had a lot of trouble finding a decent paying job out of school - often being passed up for candidates with a masters degree or ONE bachelors degree + an internship in that field - or even the smallest amount of experience. PS: Some employers even thought of him as ‘not having a sense of career direction’ because of his multiple skill sets. So yeah. Literally the opposite. And one could definitely argue they’re related (or as this video calls it, ‘stacking’) fields…
@C.Hawkshaw

Maybe they were too similar without being complementary. I think polymaths sometimes do well because of the complementary nature of the skills, i.e. poetry/physics, art/math.

But did they help you in real life? To become rich, a millionaire)) Or maybe they made you famous, or help you work far less and gain enough money for comfort living, without going on everyday job 9 AM till 6 PM, and so on?

I know a guy with 500,000 subscribers. He gets about 5,000 a month from RU-vid in ad revenue. I don’t know if l can extra-polate those numbers to this guy, Better than yesterday “ but if so, then he might be getting $20K a month from RU-vid. Even half that ain’t bad.
