I love the way you work! Especially wearing an apron is something many "cooking specialists" don't do anymore! Compliments from a senior glutenfree cooker, raised and educated by a home economics mother.

Thank you so much for your kind words!! I love wearing my aprons, and of course it helps to keep my clothes cleaner! I have great memories of my home economics classes!! Those were some of my favorite teachers too!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!

This is perfect for homemade crackers. All I have to do now is stop myself from putting anything unhealthy on top of them. Thrift shops are a good place to find weird sized and shaped cookie cutters. You can also make cookie cutters from cable ties as well. Now, Jilly G, I understand you have an amazing cookbook out that is available in Kindle form, Paperback and Hardback. Was that the book I cook see hidden in the background of your kitchen filming set? Well I can't wait to try these, have an awesome weekend.

Hello John! Thank you!! I am the same way!! I love to put so many delicious toppings on crackers!! And that is a great tip about finding cookie cutters at thrift stores!! I like the idea of making my own, but pretty sure the shape would be unidentifiable if I made one myself LOL! And yes! Those are my cookbooks!!! The hard cover, and paper back! Let me know what you think when you make these crackers!! And thank you so much for watching and commenting! And I hope you have an awesome weekend too!!

Please, will you share how to make cookie cutter out of cable ties? We have some old and falling apart larger 6x4 rectangle and square 4x4 shaped cutters that need replacing.

Hey Jilly G, just want to let you know that we are trying to find an adequate black pot to set the jars in the boiling water of the pot for the Canning Peaches Recipe. We ordered the pot from Amazon. Let you know how it all comes out. In the meantime, Harriet will make The Ritz Crackers and Chicken in a Bisket Crackers. She will enjoy making this. We'll let you know about this recipe as well. Thank you so much for doing it. Every recipe we make of yours always tastes so good. Lots of love 😍😍😍 from Harriet, Jim and Yuki. Richmond, Va.

Jilly - I am jealous of your skills! You make everything looks so easy. I am needing some Ritz style crackers. I am sure I will be watching this one several times before I attempt making mine. Do you butter both sides or just one? I did a similar cracker with sharp cheddar cheese added to the dough mixture. It made some good cheese crackers. I was wondering how my homemade chicken or beef bouillon powder would do and you mentioned using your own homemade. I wonder what would happen if you buttered them and then put them back in the oven/broiler for a minute or two to crisp them up a little. This has to be significantly less expensive than commercially available crackers.

Hello friend!! Thank you so much!! I am sure you will do a great job making these crackers!! I have made crackers with cheese in them before! I love cheese in anything!! And I think that is a great idea to butter them and put them back in the oven!! I have not tried buttering both sides, but it would probably add more chicken flavor, or buttery salt flavor! I have wondered if after freezing some, if they became soggy, I could crisp them up a little. I put some in the freezer to see if they freeze well. So far so good! I took a couple out and let them thaw, and they were great! And I plan to use my own homemade bouillon soon!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting, and sharing your experience and ideas with me!!!

That's a really great idea to use cheese, and chicken or beef flavorings! You are so right, commercial crackers are SO expensive, except for greed, I don't understand why.

I like your apron. Did you make it yourself? I like the added touch of butter and poking with the fork. Before I cook my crackers, I like to add sesame seeds or chia seeds and Himalayan salt, then lightly roll them into the crackers. At first I was very intimidated with the idea of making crackers, then one day I faced my fears and made some and realized how easy they are. Thanks for posting all your videos, I learn something new every time.

I don't have a bread machine, so I'm not sure if my recipe will work in one. And I don't use yeast. But there are a few recipes/videos here on my channel, under the playlist breads and such. I hope you find one that you like! They are kinda small, a little bigger than store bought, but so much cheaper!!
