I distinctly remember sitting in front of the tv, watching her make her Pavlova and writing down the recipe. I was maybe ten years old.

I truly enjoy her very real personality. Easy, comforting, and sweet. Not pretentious or staged.

It's her reassuring, stimulating and very feminine presence that I love and at the same time, above all the simple, direct attitude she has. I absolutely adore her!

Her presence is always both welcoming and comforting as if I'm sitting at her kitchen counter and watching her do her magic. Pure genuine and doesn't sound so scripted.

How can I be her neighbour or friend? The woman exudes the kind of laid back, confidence I gravitate towards. She makes me believe she and I are 'gyaffing' it up in my kitchen. The entire ambience is so comfortable and inviting - if I were to choose to have a friend I want one just like her!

Pavlova never performed in Swan Lake. She did Dying Swan dance and got the cake named after her after she performed it in Australia.

(IMPORTANT IF YOU WANT TO TRY THIS) In the video it looks like the chef puts the whipped cream on the pavlova’s base right after taking it out of the oven. DON’T DO THAT, otherwise the cream will become liquid again because of the residual heat. Let the base cool off completely and put it in the fridge uncovered for at least one hour before finishing with the cream and berries

Great content! The only issue is with the filming style - the out of focus style jumping to close-ups and tightening on the host is a bit nauseating to watch. Maybe I’m in the minority here, although I like the recipe and content.

I like Nigella but it's unsanitary to toss salads and food with your bare hands if you're serving it for guests.

I always wear gloves but I get why that wouldn’t look great being filmed. They very easily could’ve made an entirely new salad for the guests.
@sofiaagren4199
@sofiaagren4199 2 года назад
Not true. Well washed hands are just as clean as wearing gloves, and people tend to be better at washing their bare hands when needed than changing or washing their gloves. Only reason to wear gloves is to protect your hands (from chilli for example) or if you have open cuts and wounds on your hands. Over-using of gloves is just a sad waste of plastic.
