Just finished serving a dinner of Rajma Masala and Jeera Rice with Grilled croaker fish seasoned with a mix of Curry Powder, and Garam masala and salt (i've been experimenting with that spice mix for a while now, it work) . Everything was delicious but Those Beans were the star of the show. Once again, Thank you Bumbi.
Wow, it makes me so very happy when my viewers try my recipes as soon as it is uploaded. Thanks a lot for trying this recipe and that sounds like a very scrumptious dinner.
You can do whatever your heart desires to . I am here just as a guide and to give you ideas. Keep the recipes just as a guide and make it in your own innovative way. That’s the joy of cooking according to me.
Definitely a keeper recipe... the tomatoes add a beautiful richness and roundness to this dish. Mellows the sometimes slightly bitter native flavor of the beans. This is a champion healthy hearty delicious meal. In fact I just had some...❤
Fabulous recipes Bumbi. I am certainly looking forward to making them. We love rajma. The more coriander the better for me. Thank you as always for these wonderful recipes 💕
Hi Bumbi 👋Hope you're enjoying your weekend my dear friend. I couldn't resist making these amazing dishes. (Recipes 134 &135) We really enjoy rajma masala and this is certainly the best that we've ever tasted. It goes so wonderfully with your jeera rice which was equally as delicious. We had some naan bread and a bit of red onion with it. Oh my goodness what a wonderful meal. I cannot wait to make it again. Thank you so much as always for these delightful recipes 💕
Hey Bumbi , this is my favourite comfort food. But when I make rajma masala I always add paneer cubes ( earlier I used to add it because my kids n husband love paneer) , but believe me adding paneer to rajma takes it to the next level. Rajma masala n jeera rice is just too good 👍 Happy Makar Sankranti to you and your family Bumbi. Have a wonderful weekend 🌺
Your philosophy on food is spot on. The simplest dishes are often the best and no matter how simple they are, they still deserve to be prepared with care. I may be an agnostic, but the gifts nature gives us, should not be taken lightly. Greetings from germany.
Thank you! I thoroughly enjoyed your video, and can't wait to try this! No more powdered spices, for me. I will try using whole spices, from now, on. You're a GREAT teacher!
Hello Bumbi Once again thank you for Sharing your wonderful recipies with us / the world. This was a very delicious meal served with cumin Rice and some papadums. 😊
I know very little about curry beyond the most basic and well known forms. Therefore, the idea of adding pinto or really any "bean," into them is new to me. I know since Bumbi is making it, it will be good but still I am very interested to see how this turns out
This remembers me some rice and beans we have in Brazil. Thanks for sharing! I'll sure try it and serve to my mom. And I'll ask her what she thinks about these flavors on her beans. I'm sure she'll like it.
I accidentally stumbled on your video and with just one video i fell for your recipe and for your story telling melodious voice and subscribed that very moment. Sending my love from Las Vegas US ❤️
I am going to make the pinto bean rajma later tonight, thanks! My chicken turned out to be bad chicken so I had to throw it out so I'm making beans instead for Sunday dinner. That rice looks extremely tasty but I cannot have rice right now as I'm trying to keep it low carb but the beans I can have as I'm only using 1/4 cup and that makes about 1/2 cup after cooking/soaking and is also half fiber. Thanks for this recipe! I'll try the rice the next time I'm taking a carb load day, so maybe in a couple of weeks.
Another great recipe. I've always made Rajma with kidney beans. I have a quanity of pinto beans on hand, so I will try this. Everyday is school day. We owe so much to our teachers. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for this excellent video of two, very delicious-looking, dishes. Great instruction, awesome tone and simple steps; you are a great teacher.
Just discovered (and subscribed) to this channel. I love the way you show the steps and explain everything as you go. Will be making this for sure. I grew up in Southeast Texas where beans and rice are a staple. They will sometimes be the entire meal along with some cornbread. Very nice video.
Wow, this looks so delicious 😋I want to cook it. I will soak the beans tonight! All the ingredients are there in my pantry except for kasoori methi, but I can buy it from my local indian grocery today or tomorrow, not a big deal. Thanks again, Bumbi. 🤗
@@CurriesWithBumbiI was right this was so delicious! It’s amazing! I have just prepared it and can’t wait for the rice to get done. A skipped kasoori methi and it is still so yummy. Besides that I followed your recipe religiously and voila! I have a new bean recipe to make for my family. Much love and thanks from Qatar💖
So interesting... rajma was one of the first things I ever learned to cook, but that version is so different from this one. Really looking forward to trying yours. Also, you have a soothing voice and you seem to have a kind heart. I appreciate that
Dear Bumbi, instead of pinto beans (as they are not available here), I prepared this dish with black eyed peas and again - and of course - it turned out super delicious aswell! Thanks for the recipe. Checking out all your videos on here, I see loads of mouth watering dishes that I am eager to prepare in future. Greetings from Sri Lanka 🌴🐘
Just made this. Very, very good. Took awhile though for the paste to come together but it was worth it. Looks like I have a new channel to look through!! Thanks
Simple and humble food is my favourite Bumbi. Using dry borlotti beans here in Italy they are also Pinto beans. I will make this during the week, I have everything ❤️ love from Italy -Samantha ❤️ THANKYOU KINDLY 🙏
I'm very excited to experiment with your "base gravy" recipe. I feel like you could mix just about any spice mix into that base and get a delicious paste for stews and soups. Thank you for showing us how to make great food!
Thank you for the great video recipe. Clear, concise, in English, well explained, and very calming. *Big shukria from Manila and will definitely try this recipes!* ♥♥♥
As you say Bumbi, pure comfort food. I’m going to cook this tomorrow with some warm buttered roti’s, perfect for this cold weather we have at the moment. Also Bumbi can you do some bread videos such as chapati or paratha please? And keep up the good work!❤
I have a few. Please click the link below for the playlist. Have noted down your request. Thanks for leaving a comment. ROTI/PARATHA/POORI RECIPES ru-vid.com/group/PLxgPEcdhkY4GvKjzeuOi9escDQnTs6yOM
Hey bumbi love the technique of adding coriander stalks early and leaves later. I do this with my latin american style beans, the stalks have great flavour too and i like how hardy the coriander is, tastes good cooked or fresh.
This recipe looks similar to charro beans or frijoles rancheros. Pinto beans in spicy gravy can never go wrong, Im gonna make this with chicken as well.
Please try them with curd(yogurt)+ onion salad + rajma(pinto beans) + rice Being vegetarian this combo is my favorite & I can eat this combo 5 days a weak Thanks
I think it's really cool how many similarities this dish has to southern American style pintos and cornbread with the cornbread serving as the starch in place of rice
