Learn how to make thick curd at home in less time. Making thick curd (mosaru maduva vidhana) in just one hour is explained in this video with Kannada narration and English subtitles. With this method you can prepare tasty and thick curd in just 1 hour. This is a fast and quick way to prepare thick curd using normal milk. Thick curd is prepared using normal pasteurized cow's milk or packet milk.
Tips and tricks to prepare thick curd are listed here.
Some important points to be noted:
1. Milk should be little hotter than warm
2. Mix it well after adding curd.
3. Keep it in the hot water using a stand.
4. No need to keep the stove ON. Just heat the water and switch OFF the stove.
5. I have used home made curd having room temperature to set the curd.
6. The curd setting time may increase depending on the climate, the curd used and the temperature of the milk.
7. I have not tested this method using store bought curd or set-curd.
8. So if you are not sure about the curd used to set the curd, just increase the amount by 2 times or 3 times.

Points to be noted: 1. Milk should be little hotter than warm 2. Mix it well after adding curd. 3. Keep it in the hot water using a stand. 4. No need to keep the stove ON. Just heat the water and switch OFF the stove. 5. I have used home made curd having room temperature to set the curd. 6. The curd setting time may increase depending on the climate, the curd used and the temperature of the milk. 7. I have not tested this method using store bought curd or set-curd. 8. That was one awesome Faster way to get curd👌 since I live abroad , because of the extreme cold weather, never ended up with homemade curd! Can I possibly do using your method?

I live in UK and I have been using the same method to set curd since I got fed up of wasting plastic curd boxes. From 2 years I am following the same method.

I use to keep milk bowl (for setting curd) in hot pack. It works too, but can't get curd in 1 hr. Will try these methods

Whenever milk is little hotter, it curdles immediately and doesn't set properly after that. So I always use Luke warm milk.. Will try this time fully as you mentioned in the video .

Namastey madam.. i don’t know from where you got this method (may be from factory person). I have tried this technique. But the taste of curd is totally different from the night long set curd. I guess the taste varies due to the duration in forming of bacteria. After trying this, I shall go for night long setting technique. Good wishes.
