This a easy way to save some coins and get long lasting nails at home.
prep you nails, primer.. apply base coat then cure for 60 seconds...apply builder gel to your nail and fake nail cure for 60 secs...buff them and apply gel polish and gems etc and your done. Hope this helps

Your nails look so good! Look like salon quality!! I did my nails for the first time using clear press ons with a gel base coat. I did use nail glue with it too. I have had my nails on for three days so far and will be excited to see how long they last. They have been sturdy so far! I have heard a gel base coat can help from nail damage from nail glue! I think the gel base stick better too. And it’s seems to seal out moisture better. I seal the nail with a top coat before painting them. It keeps them from lifting and snagging

Thank you! This stuff really works - but when I tried to hold the nail in place with my other hand it was just awkward so what helped me and may help others as well is I used those little nail clips to keep the fake nail in place in place when using the LED light. I found a cheap set on Amazon for about 5 bucks. Great video and thank you again!

I watched your video and used the exact method to do my nails yesterday, it worked great!! You have to make sure you apply nail at the cuticle and slowly press down, and make sure you hold it tight against the nail...If it lifts at any point before it’s completely cured it will make air bubbles, so take your time...any high wattage lamp will do. Hello It is a very helpful video but it failed for me. I have two questions : - can you use only base coat UV instead of using builder UV ? I used the based coat and it feel like 20 min after. - I tried with clear nail press on, but I want to know if it could work if you use already color nail (could the UV go thru the color and cure the gel under the press on ?

Hi, sorry to hear it didn’t work for you...did you prep you nails first...also yes you can use base gel...I just know for me the builder base hold longer...yes it will still cure, underneath the lamp...make sure you have attest a 80w lamp anything under that will be hard to cure. @@yseuln6 48 watts is good. I’ve heard when the nails are painted the Uv doesn’t get through and cure it thoroughly with the exception of nails that are colored but still kind of translucent. Does that make sense ? For example the makarrt pump Up nails. Make sure you are also etching the surface of your nail AND the Inside of your plastic or gel nail so they don’t pop off

Colored press on u need stronger lamp 36watt. The mini lamp we get 6watt 9watt a 22 24watt will work fine but go for full lamp cheaper they r weaker thry r my colored nails never dried all way . Color n thickness uv can't Penetrate

I just tried this method for first time tonight. I did it step by step. It was a little awkward at first, but I got it done. Now my question to anyone who uses this method is, how long does it last if you wash hands several times a day and do dishes???? I clean a lot. Just make sure u take ur time with the nail prep and that the gel covers everything, I flash cure about 15 secs then I put all my hand under for 90 seconds and they last.. i wear the full length no trimming.

Girl you are kind, you are important and you is silly because you could just buy already shortened tips LOL these turned out great tho! i just wanted to give you a hard time LOL I do mine the same with the builder gel from Aimeili! Love that brand! And for everyone asking, NO you cannot do this with base coat gel. You should APPLY base coat, but you have to use a builder gel, structure gel basically any HARD gel to glue tips to your nails. You also HAVE to buff or etch the inside of the tips on the area that will be getting glued to your nail otherwise they will pop off just like when you use dual forms and poly gel, so be sure to buff the inside so the gel has something to grip onto.

Yes you can use this method with pre painted nails, you have to soak off so yeah you won’t be able to wear multiple times but it will last longer

Hi Kameelah :) i finally designed my press on nails. It took about 10 times to cure under a 36W lamp for the gel polish to dry thoroughly. I just used a regular nail glue to adhere them to my natural nails. I'll try the glue gel next time.

So the builder gel base is thicker than the regular gel base....if you use poly gel you will want to use a gel base coat first to protect your natural nail. Poly gel and builder base are not the same. Did I answer you question?

Okay i think where I misunderstood is that originally i thought you were applying a separate base before applying the builder gel.. and i was asking if that base needed to be any particular base. But from what I understand, the builder gel is just used by itself as an adhesive to hold the fake nail on top, correct? (That’s an awesome idea btw) I will still probably need to use a dehydrator & primer before applying the builder gel under the fake nail to help it hold better?

The reason for the bubbles is because the nail may have a small apex and so it needs the builder gel or base gel on the nail also.

You have to apply under the cuticle and slowly press towards the top of your nail and hold firmly while you cure it under the lamp. It it get lifted at any point it will cause air bubbles, also don’t use to much gel.

I’m going to post a video showing you how I do it, so follow and turn on notifications….but you can do it like you would take off acrylic nails. Soak them in acetone or use the cotton ball foil method.

Gel top coat and gel base coat are not the same Similar to a regular base coat and topcoat, a gel base coat is a bridge between the natural nail surface and the gel color polish. It is formulated to adhere to the nail surface better than the color polish.

You have to make sure the nail bed is flat, some of the press on nails have a curve nail bed and that is what’s causing them to pop off

Check the nail bed, if it not flat like your natural nail, they won’t stay long. I didn’t use this method anymore, I developed a gel allergy so be careful

You apply the base gel to protect you nails from damage and the. The builder base to apply the nail. I’ll check the link for you

Yes, file them down the soak them off with acetone, just like acrylic or gel

You have to use a base coat on your natural nails first, cure for 30 seconds and make sure when you’re applying the press on that you add builder base to your nail and the press on and hold firmly for 60+ seconds so the nail has a tight hold

I just recently started using poly gel. It’s a harder gel, which makes the tip easier to cure under the lamp because it doesn’t move.

@@Itsmeelah55i designed my press ons using traditional nail polish (not the gel polishes ones). The glue gels (to attach the PONs to my natural nails) didn't cure at all. I had to remove them all and just used the non-gel nail glue. Did the fact that i used non-gel nail polish attribute to the non-curing/non-adhering?

It is very important to get out the nail bubbles because they will cause a nail fungus or bacteria infection.

@@Itsmeelah55 just warning others because in the video you said it was fine to leave air bubbles. It can take only a few days to develop bacteria when you have air bubbles.

If it’s not curing it could be because of the lamp your using, might need higher watts on your led lamp. If it’s not high enough it will take a very long time to cure. Also apply base coat on nails then cure for 60 sec...than apply builder gel to your nail and the fake nail and you have to hold firm so it doesn’t create air pockets or bubbles and cure again for 60 seconds or more depending on your lamp wattage
