The problem here is that its not a lead , it a lead sulfate because its very old and deeply discharged battery, so when you charge it up you release the sulfate atoms to the electrolyte and thus increase the constration of the electrolyte
uhh... You may want to neutralize that acid you dripped on your surface @10:30. Also. how about a video with the topic, "How to Make Leads for a Testing Device." That would help you and many others. @@nnejiamaechi9385 That's because it's an incandescent light bulb. The filament heat up and glow when there's sufficient current passing through it. Lead acid batteries can supply a good amount of current even at 2 volts, but obviously not enough to make the light bulb very bright.
I made it. It holds the voltage at 2.1V and can output a short circuit current of 1.6A, which is great, however it has a capacity of only ~2.5mAh. I charged it with a constant current of 200mA for 3-4 hours. I tested the capacity by discharging it with a constant current of 86mA, it discharged in ~2min.
When you first charge it. Charge with high voltage (6 volts) for a few hours with 1 amp or so. The capacity will increase brother if there is no other problem
@@joyofelectronics9782 ok your salvage battery was 6ah, using this method you get 2000mah so we will get 33% of capacity from negative plate is that correct?
@@sucilaksono2150no in may batter l just used four pieces of electrodes (total) but in the salvage battery 9 pieces were used. It means that the capacity of my battery has almost 70% of original one which is pretty cool.
How does your battery work using the same Lead material for both anode and cathode. A Lead acid battery would require a Lead Dioxide Cathode! I thought you were going to coat the negative electrode with a coating made from the waste positive electrode to make it positive?!
I’ve already explained in the video but probably you skipped that part. I’m gonna tell again. When you charge the battery for the first time the sponge lead on the the positively charged electrode turned into lead dioxide. After charge and discharge for many many times it will completely turn into lead dioxide. I hope this helped 👍
@@joyofelectronics9782Just made one following your advice and the results are crazy! That’s pure genius of recycling lead acid batteries! Wow! I am discharging it at 0.2A and it’s like it will be discharging « forever » I am already at 77mAh and 76mWh and it’s still going! Thanks brother scientist for sharing « real stuff »
@@wwabete2009it’s really very nice to hear that. I became very happy. There is no fake videos on my channel. I always try to inspire people. Thanks for your nice comment and sharing the result🙏
The battery isn't "professional" is actually quite weak. Why? Check ohm's law. 2.12v with a resistance (the copper wire he used)mostly equivalent with 0 will draw lots of amps, for a very short time, and it won't last if used as a voltage source due to the lack of capacity...
Brother first of all thanks for your comment and sharing time. But you are a prejudiced because l calculate its capacity. (After positively charged electrode completely turn in to lead dioxide) the capacity is 2000 maH which is almost same with a new brand lead acid battery with the same size. If try making one at home you will amazingly confirm me. Thanks
@@alexandrudiculescu6996That is just one basic cell! He can connect as much as wants in parallel and he will obtain any Ah he wants at 2V! So it’s quite a good performance
@@wwabete2009 I know that you can get any voltage and Ah by connecting them in parallel and series, but it's only about the description video and the "delivered product".
@@alexandrudiculescu6996 ok got you! You are right. Compared with what others present on the internet, it’s the best so far especially considering that this is recycling this dangerous lead rather than letting it out in nature. It is always good in life to encourage the little effort people make. What might appear to you and me as unprofessional could be the best this guy can offer today. He may offer us something amazing tomorrow ! He is just an enthusiastic experimenter who has a burning desire to share!!
I’ve already told in the video. Probably you skipped that part. Let me tell you again☺️when you charge the battery. The positively charged electrode turn in to lead dioxide over time so works as positive electrode.
What is the Ampere? I asked cos for it to carry all the tests you did and still remain upti 2.2v its necessary to know what was the amp? Can it be produced in 6pcs in order to get 12v or can each get upto 3vs or more?
