U can easily achieve bright red by adding electric or hot pink, then add orange colour then lastly a little drop of red. Hot red whipped cream is ready..
I find it interesting how often you mix your bowls of cream it doesn't thicken to the point where it almost gets crumbly. I am careful not to over whip my cream in the first place, but I still have a problem when adding color that it wants to get to thick. I mostly use the brand "Rich's smooth n ice" cream.
